Modular Office | A Playful, Not One-Note Office Space

This design project is in Foshan, Guangdong. The client is someone who thrives on connection and asked for an office filled with communication, playfulness, and an informal design style—eager to blur the line between work and life.

So the designer took the shipping container as the design concept, using cement, handmade patterned tiles, white cement brick, black iron, and other industrial elements to shape a playful office. A large smiley-face artwork warms everyone's heart and reminds people to face life with a positive attitude.

To build stronger community ties within a limited workspace, the client divided the office into three independent work zones and one shared leisure space, then sublet them to a group of young entrepreneurs.

Here the client meets and gathers with entrepreneurs, sharing space, office services, and startup ideas. Together they form a vibrant, passionate entrepreneurial community.
