Mobile Toilets with Signage

Admin October 12, 2026

Mobile toilets with signage mainly include two types: lightweight plastic mobile toilets and tidal public toilets, each with distinct design and application characteristics for their signage.

Lightweight Plastic Mobile Toilets: These toilets are typically made of plastic, offering the advantages of being lightweight, easy to move, and simple to install. In terms of signage usage, lightweight plastic mobile toilets are equipped with corresponding signs to indicate toilet functions, usage status, or directions. These signs are usually designed to be simple, clear, and easily recognizable, effectively guiding users to quickly locate and correctly use the toilets.

Tidal Public Toilets: Tidal public toilets are a type of public restroom that dynamically adjusts the ratio of male to female toilet stalls based on peak and off-peak traffic periods. Regarding signage application, tidal public toilets feature more flexible and intelligent designs. For example, the "tidal toilets" at Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area previously used manually adjustable signs. These signs could be manually adjusted according to the usage status of the toilet stalls to indicate the current gender usage. However, due to safety concerns, such as the potential for misadjustment or damage, these signs were later replaced with fixed slot-type door signs. These fixed slot-type door signs are more stable, less prone to misoperation, and enhance usage safety.

Additionally, tidal public toilets in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, adopt a more advanced management approach, achieving dynamic allocation of toilet stalls through tidal doors and dedicated attendants. In this mode, signage may be more prominently featured in the design of the tidal doors, using colors, patterns, or text to distinguish between male and female toilet stalls. Meanwhile, attendants also provide guidance and adjustments based on actual conditions to ensure the rational use of toilet stalls.
