How to Install a Mobile Toilet Water Tank

Admin October 05, 2026

Refer to the following steps for installing a mobile toilet water tank. Ensure that all tools are available, components are intact, and strictly follow the procedures to guarantee safety and sealing during use:

1. Preparation

  • Tool Preparation: Gather tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, tape measures, and impact drills (with a 6mm drill bit).
  • Component Inspection: Confirm that the water tank body, inlet valve, outlet valve, seals (including rubber seals), fixing screws, and other components are complete and undamaged. Pay special attention to checking whether the rubber seals are aged or cracked to avoid subsequent leaks.
  • Special Instructions: For concealed water tanks in wall-mounted toilets, measure the distance between the wall and the toilet ceramic body in advance. The standard value is 135mm to ensure accurate installation position.

2. Positioning and Drilling

  • Water Tank Positioning: Place the water tank against the wall, with the bottom approximately 2-3cm from the top of the toilet ceramic body. Mark the positions of the water tank's fixing holes with a pencil.
  • Drilling Operation: Use an impact drill to drill vertically at the marked positions to a depth of about 5cm. Then insert expansion tubes (to enhance fixing force and prevent screw loosening).

3. Fixing the Water Tank

  • Installing Screws: Align the water tank with the expansion tubes, insert long screws, and tighten them with a wrench until the water tank is flush against the wall. Note the Force: Avoid over-tightening to prevent the water tank from cracking.
  • Handling Integrated Water Tanks: If the water tank and toilet are of an integrated design, place a large seal (to prevent leaks) on the contact surface between them and then fix the connection with short screws.

4. Installing the Drainage Components

  • Installing the Outlet Valve: Place the outlet valve into the outlet at the bottom of the water tank, put on a seal (with the convex side facing down), and tighten it with a nut from the inside of the water tank.
  • Height Adjustment: The top of the outlet valve should generally be 5-8cm lower than the top of the water tank to ensure smooth drainage when the water level reaches the standard. The height can be finely adjusted by rotating the outlet valve's adjusting rod.

5. Connecting the Water Inlet System

  • Installing the Inlet Valve: Install the inlet valve into the inlet on the side of the water tank and tighten it after placing a seal.
  • Connecting the Water Inlet Pipe: Connect one end to the inlet valve and the other end to the wall-mounted angle valve. Key Details: Wrap 2-3 turns of Teflon tape around the connection to prevent leaks. After opening the angle valve, check that the water inlet is smooth and there are no leaks.

6. Debugging and Finalizing

  • Water Level Test: Observe whether the water tank automatically stops filling when the water reaches the set level (the inlet valve's float ball or pressure switch is working properly).
  • Drainage Test: Manually trigger the outlet valve to check that the drainage is smooth and there is no blockage. Also, confirm that there are no leaks at the connection between the water tank and the toilet.
  • Finalizing Work: Clean up the installation residues to ensure that the area around the water tank is dry and tidy.
