Mobile Toilet Water Supply and Sewage Disposal

Admin September 21, 2026

There are various methods for water supply and sewage disposal in mobile toilets, with common methods and their characteristics as follows:

Water-flushing and Non-water-flushing Suction Types

Water-flushing mobile toilets are equipped with water tanks and sewage tanks. They flush excrement with water, which can effectively maintain cleanliness inside the toilet. However, the capacity of the sewage tank is relatively small. When the number of users reaches a specified amount, timely sewage removal is required; otherwise, normal use will be affected. Non-water-flushing types do not have flushing devices. Excrement directly enters the sewage tank, which also has a capacity limit. After a certain number of users, timely sewage removal is also necessary. These two methods are suitable for places with relatively small passenger flow, sewage removal conditions, and high hygiene requirements.

Recirculating Water Perforation Type

This type is equipped with intermittent aerobic and anaerobic fecal sewage treatment devices. After adding biological strains, it uses biofilm technology to accelerate the fermentation and decomposition of fecal sewage. The treated water is recirculated back to flush the toilet sanitary ware through a filtration device, greatly saving water resources. However, its equipment is relatively complex and requires certain professional maintenance. It is suitable for places with high requirements for water conservation and some maintenance capabilities.

Dry Packaging Type

There is no flushing device. Excrement is received by a recyclable plastic bag at the lower part of the toilet. A new plastic bag is automatically replaced after each use. The plastic bags are collected and transported to a treatment plant for processing, eliminating the need for flushing water entirely and achieving significant water-saving effects. However, the plastic bags need to be replaced regularly, and their disposal must comply with environmental protection requirements. This method is suitable for water-scarce areas or places with strict water-saving requirements.

Foam Sealing Type

It generates foam through chemicals (foaming liquid) to cover the toilet fixtures, replacing water flushing to achieve lubrication, toilet cleaning, and odor control. The foaming liquid contains aromatic components, with a water-saving rate of over 90%. Only a small amount of water is needed to maintain the foam, resulting in low operating costs. However, the equipment cost is relatively high, and the foaming liquid needs to be replenished regularly. It is suitable for places with high water-saving requirements and certain economic strength.

Microbial Degradation Type

It uses microbial strains to decompose excrement. Feces are converted into fertilizer raw materials, and urine is treated and then recirculated for toilet flushing. It is odorless, harmless, and requires no flushing water, with a long collection and transportation cycle. However, the equipment cost is high, the microbial strains need to be replaced regularly, and the daily number of users is limited. It is suitable for places with high environmental protection requirements and a relatively stable number of users.

Non-water Packaging Type

It uses biodegradable environmentally friendly packaging bags to automatically seal excrement, which is then collected in a fecal storage tank for unified treatment. It requires no water or electricity, saving both water and power, and facilitating the collection of waste. However, the packaging bags need to be replaced regularly, and the long-term use cost is relatively high. It is suitable for places that are water- and power-scarce and have environmental protection requirements.

Vacuum Self-suction Type

It uses a vacuum pump to generate negative pressure to suck excrement into the sewage tank. The water consumption is only one-tenth of that of traditional toilets, achieving water conservation and low sewage volume. It is flexible in installation and can adapt to various terrains. However, the equipment cost is relatively high. It is suitable for places with high water-saving requirements and complex terrains.
