Installation of Water Storage Tanks for Mobile Toilets
Admin September 28, 2026
The installation of water storage tanks for mobile toilets should follow standardized procedures, with core steps including pre-installation preparation, main body leveling, pipe connection, and handling of special types, as detailed below:

I. Pre-Installation Preparation
- Site Inspection: Choose a flat and solid ground (such as concrete or compacted gravel ground) to avoid uneven stress on the water storage tank due to ground settlement. If installing a water circulation system, ensure the site has access to electricity.
- Component Inspection: Verify that core components such as the water storage tank, pipes, and valves are complete. Focus on checking for cracks or deformations in the water storage tank body, smoothness and damage-free conditions of pipe interfaces, and the flexibility of valve opening and closing.
II. Positioning and Leveling of the Main Body
- Lifting Operation: Use lifting equipment to smoothly hoist the mobile toilet body to the predetermined position, avoiding severe collisions that could damage the water storage tank or pipes.
- Level Adjustment: Measure the height of the four corners of the body with a level gauge and adjust to a level state using shims or adjustable feet. The inclination angle must not exceed 0.5°, otherwise, it may cause leakage at the connections of the water storage tank or abnormal operation of the water circulation system.
III. Connection of the Water Storage Tank and Pipes
- Water Supply Pipe Connection:
- Reliably connect the external water supply pipe to the inlet valve of the water storage tank using threads or flanges. An filter (pore size ≤ 1mm) must be installed at the inlet end to prevent sand, debris, and other impurities from entering the water storage tank.
- After connection, slowly open the inlet valve and check for leakage at the interface. If leakage is found, retighten or replace the sealing gasket.
- Internal Circulation Pipe Connection (for water circulation toilets):
- Connect the toilet, collection tank, water circulation treatment unit, and water storage tank in sequence according to the flow chart, ensuring reasonable pipe routing and avoiding excessive bending that could increase water flow resistance.
- Wrap thread interfaces with special sealant or Teflon tape to ensure tightness. After connection, conduct a water flow test to observe for leakage at each interface.
- Fixing of the Water Storage Tank: Secure the water storage tank to the main body of the toilet using bolts or brackets to prevent displacement due to vibration or external forces.
IV. Installation of Water Storage Tanks for Special Types of Toilets
- Water Circulation Mobile Toilets:
- The water storage tank should be kept more than 1 meter away from the water circulation treatment unit to reserve operating space for later maintenance.
- The installation environment should be well-ventilated to avoid equipment corrosion or performance degradation due to humidity or high temperatures.
- Concealed Water Tanks (Wall-mounted Toilets):
- Measure the middle distance between the wall and the toilet installation hole (e.g., 135mm) to ensure the water tank bracket size matches.
- Fix the water tank bracket using expansion bolts, with a load-bearing capacity of ≥ 200kg to prevent deformation after long-term use.
Precautions:
- Before installation, carefully read the product manual to understand the installation requirements for specific models (such as pipe diameter, connection method, etc.).
- After pipe connection, conduct a 24-hour tightness test. Close all valves and observe for leakage at the water storage tank and pipe interfaces.
- If installed outdoors, add an insulation layer (in winter) or a sunshade (in summer) to the exterior of the water storage tank to extend the equipment's service life.
