Mobile Toilet Water Pipe Installation

Admin October 08, 2026

The installation of water pipes for mobile toilets requires comprehensive planning of the water supply and drainage systems, as well as standardized operation of PVC pipe connection steps, as detailed below:

I. Key Points for Water Supply System Connection

  1. Water Source Confirmation and Pipe Selection: Water-flush mobile toilets require a stable water supply. Before installation, the water source location must be identified. Water supply pipes should be made of pressure-resistant and freeze-resistant materials (such as PPR pipes or galvanized steel pipes). The burial depth should be below the local frost line to prevent pipe rupture due to freezing in winter. If an external water tank is used, its capacity should be determined based on the number of users, and its sealing should be regularly checked to prevent water leakage or contamination.
  2. Interface Treatment and Maintenance Design: A valve should be installed at the connection between the water pipe and the toilet's water inlet for easy subsequent maintenance or water shutdown. All interfaces (including those between the water tank and pipes) should be reinforced with Teflon tape or sealing rings. After water is turned on, observe for 24 hours to ensure no leakage before putting the system into use.

II. Drainage System and Septic Tank Setup

  1. Drainage Path Planning: Drainage pipes should maintain a slope of 2%-5% (i.e., a drop of 2-5 cm per meter) to ensure that sewage naturally flows into the septic tank or municipal sewer network. When installing ground-connected PVC drainage pipes, measure the ground height difference in advance and adjust pipe clamps or supports to ensure the slope meets requirements.
  2. Septic Tank Design: The capacity should be calculated based on the number of users (typically 0.5-1 cubic meters per person per day). The septic tank should be located close to the toilet but at least 5 meters away to facilitate cleaning and prevent odor diffusion. A deodorizing elbow (such as an S-shaped trap) should be installed at the connection between the drainage pipe and the septic tank to block odor回流 using the water seal principle.

III. PVC Drainage Pipe Installation Steps

  1. Prepare Tools and Materials: Include PVC pipes with matching diameters, elbows/tees and other fittings, special adhesive, a tape measure, pipe cutter, sandpaper, pipe clamps, and an electric drill.
  2. Measurement and Cutting: Mark the pipe length according to the layout, cut vertically with a pipe cutter, and sand the cut end until smooth to avoid scratching the sealing ring with burrs.
  3. Pipe Fitting Connection: Apply adhesive evenly on the outside of the pipe spigot and the inside of the fitting socket, quickly insert and rotate 90 degrees, and maintain pressure for 10-15 seconds until initial curing is achieved.
  4. Fix the Main Pipe: Drill holes in the wall or floor according to the planned path, install pipe clamps, and fix the main pipe. Adjust the slope again to meet requirements.
  5. Connect Branches and Fixtures: Connect branch pipes to the main pipe through tees. Toilets should be sealed with flange rings. Washbasins and floor drains should be connected via hoses or PVC pipes, with rubber gaskets added at interfaces and pipe clamps tightened.
  6. Testing and Acceptance: After installation, visually inspect the sealing of interfaces. Conduct a water flow test for 2 hours to observe whether drainage is smooth and whether there is any leakage. Confirm qualification before use.
