What is a Mobile Toilet Vehicle?

Admin October 07, 2026

A mobile toilet vehicle is a mobile public health facility that uses a vehicle as its carrier, integrating a complete sanitation unit, water and electricity systems, and auxiliary facilities. It can be rapidly deployed to temporary or permanent locations to provide efficient mobile public health solutions.

I. Carrier and Structure
Mobile toilet vehicles are typically modified based on specialized chassis such as those from Sinotruk Howo and Dongfeng Tianjin, ensuring load-bearing capacity and driving safety. The vehicle frame is welded from steel to ensure structural strength, while the wall materials are mostly fiberglass or metal carved panels, which are corrosion-resistant and easy to clean, suitable for complex outdoor environments.

II. Core Sanitation Unit
The interior is equipped with multiple independent restrooms, usually separated into male and female areas, and may include accessible restrooms and electric wheelchair lifts. Sanitary fixtures are primarily made of stainless steel, balancing durability and hygiene. For example, some models have 3 squat toilets in the men's restroom and 2 accessible squat toilets (one each for men and women); other models can accommodate 8 people simultaneously, featuring 3 urinals, 6 vacuum-flush squat toilets (made of 316 stainless steel), and 2 sit-down toilets to meet diverse usage scenarios.

III. Self-Sustaining Water and Electricity Systems
The vehicle is equipped with stainless steel freshwater and wastewater tanks, supporting water filling, direct discharge, and suction discharge functions to ensure independent operation. The power system can be connected to mains electricity and is equipped with a cable reel to adapt to environments without water or electricity. For example, a certain model has a 500L gray water tank, an integrated control cabinet inside the vehicle that includes a voltmeter, ammeter, and temperature sensor, and is equipped with a sewage pump with a power greater than 1.5KW for efficient sewage discharge.

IV. User-Friendly Auxiliary and Safety Facilities
Facilities such as sinks, lighting, exhaust fans, heating and cooling air conditioners, and makeup mirrors enhance the user experience; safety features like warning systems and leakage protectors ensure operational safety. For example, some models have 1.5P air conditioners installed in both the male and female areas, electric exhaust fans on the top of the restroom area, honeycomb aluminum partitions in the stalls, and independent lighting and coat hooks; the sinks are equipped with half-length mirrors, hand soap, and tissue boxes, while warning lights are installed on the roof and rear of the vehicle to comprehensively optimize the user experience and safety.
