Mobile Toilet Upgrading and Renovation
The upgrading and renovation of mobile toilets are mainly reflected in aspects such as appearance, functional design, and care for sanitation workers.

Appearance: The overall design uses soft tones like light beige and light brown as the base, creating a warm and comfortable feeling. Deep blue is then used to outline the borders and accentuate certain areas, resulting in a harmonious and elegant color scheme. This design allows the public toilets to blend naturally into the surrounding environment without appearing out of place, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the city.
Functional Design:
- Care for Special Groups: To facilitate the elderly and families with children, a third restroom has been added to meet their special needs. In areas with high foot traffic around public toilets, barrier-free access and stainless-steel handrails have been installed to assist those with mobility issues.
- Well-Equipped Standard Restrooms: Standard restrooms are fully equipped with urinals, squat toilets, and sinks, and are decorated in a simple and bright manner, providing a good restroom environment for users.
- Creating 'Age-Friendly and Child-Friendly Restrooms': Auxiliary handrails have been installed beside toilets in restrooms to assist the elderly in standing up and sitting down. The children's restroom area features specially designed fixtures such as appropriately sized toilets and sinks, taking into full consideration the physiological characteristics of children. Additionally, electronic screens on restroom doors display real-time occupancy status, allowing people outside to know if a restroom is occupied and avoiding unnecessary waiting.
Care for Sanitation Workers: Some mobile toilets focus on providing care for sanitation workers by adding dedicated 'Sanitation Stations'. These stations are equipped with facilities such as refrigerators, showers, microwaves, and charging ports, offering a place for sanitation workers to rest and replenish. Given the hard work of sanitation workers, they can come to these stations to cool off and drink water in the summer, stay warm in the winter, heat up meals with microwaves, and charge their phones, demonstrating humanistic care for sanitation workers. For example, seven mobile public toilets on Shiji Avenue at Weifang Road and Zhangyang Road at Miaopu Road have undergone the aforementioned upgrades and renovations.
