Mobile Toilet Tile Design Size
Admin September 28, 2026
The design size of tiles for mobile toilets should be comprehensively selected based on the space area, functional zoning, and style requirements. Specific recommendations are as follows:

I. Floor Tile Size Selection
Small-sized Tiles (10×10cm to 30×30cm)
- Suitable for mobile toilets with an area of ≤3㎡, especially in shower areas or areas with high requirements for floor slope. They offer excellent anti-slip performance and flexible tiling, but have more grout lines that require regular grouting. For example, 200×200mm tiles, with a high anti-slip coefficient (requiring R10 or above), are commonly used in wet area floors.
- Note: Small-sized tiles have lower requirements for floor flatness but take longer to install.
Medium-sized Tiles (30×60cm, 40×40cm, 60×60cm)
- Appropriate for mobile toilets with an area of 3-6㎡, balancing aesthetics and practicality. 60×60cm tiles can be processed and installed on walls to achieve a unified wall-floor effect, but their anti-slip coefficient should be checked (requiring R10 or above in wet areas).
- Note: Before tiling large-sized floor tiles, ensure that the floor flatness error is ≤3mm to avoid hollowing.
Large-sized Tiles (80×80cm and above)
- Recommended for open mobile toilets with an area of ≥6㎡, with fewer grout lines for easy cleaning and a visual extension of space. However, precise calculation of the floor slope (usually ≥2%) is required to avoid poor drainage.
- Note: Large tiles should be installed using tile adhesive for thin-set tiling, increasing labor costs by 30%-60%.
II. Wall Tile Size Selection
300×600mm
- A classic size suitable for small to medium-sized toilets (5-8㎡). Vertical arrangement can stretch the visual height of the space and is compatible with most decoration styles.
400×800mm
- Suitable for modern styles with separate wet and dry areas, reducing grout lines for easy cleaning. However, it requires a wall flatness error of ≤3mm to avoid affecting the tiling effect.
Narrow and Long Tiles (200×600mm or 250×330mm)
- Horizontal tiling can balance the proportions of narrow spaces, suitable for retro or industrial styles. Paired with dark grout, they can enhance the sense of lines.
Special-shaped Tiles (such as hexagonal or wavy tiles)
- Only recommended for local embellishments (such as shower area accent walls), with a wastage rate of 15%-20% and a construction period extended by about 30%.
III. Core Considerations
- Space Proportion: The single-side length of tiles should not exceed one-third of the short side of the space (e.g., for a 2m×1.8m toilet, the longest side of floor tiles should be ≤60cm). For narrow toilets, 30×60cm tiles can be tiled horizontally to visually widen the space.
- Functional Zoning: Prioritize anti-slip small tiles in shower areas and large-sized glossy tiles in dry areas.
- Budget and Construction Costs: Labor costs for large and special-shaped tiles increase significantly and should be planned in advance.
- Style Adaptability: Choose large tiles for modern minimalist styles and small tiles paired with corner flowers or waistlines for retro styles.
The design of tiles for mobile toilets should be flexibly adjusted according to actual needs to ensure a unified functionality and aesthetics.
