Folding Steps for Mobile Toilet Tents

Admin October 09, 2026

The folding steps for mobile toilet tents mainly fall into two categories: conventional methods and simple methods. Below are the specific instructions:

Conventional Folding Steps

  1. Clean the tent surface
Prepare a diluted solution by mixing a small amount of laundry detergent with clean water. Dip a damp cloth into the solution and gently wipe both the exterior and interior surfaces of the tent. Focus on removing stains, dust, or residues. Avoid using hard brushes or strongly corrosive cleaners to prevent damage to the tent's waterproof coating or fabric structure. After cleaning, allow the tent to dry completely to prevent mold or adhesion issues during folding due to moisture.

  2. Fold the support poles
The tent's support structure typically consists of four poles (two at the top and two at the bottom). First, bring the two top poles together towards the center and secure them in the folded position using the elastic clips or rotating mechanisms at the pole connections. Then, fold the two bottom poles in the same manner. Ensure the poles remain straight during the process to prevent deformation from excessive bending.

  3. Fold the tent body
Stand the tent upright and grasp the folded top poles with both hands. Gently press downwards to fold the top of the tent towards the back of your hands, creating a vertical contraction. Control the force applied during this step to prevent the poles from suddenly springing open or the tent fabric from tearing.

  4. Close and store
Fold the two halves of the tent towards the center, ensuring all poles and fabric are fully aligned. Press down firmly on the folded tent with both hands to expel any trapped air, then place it into the accompanying storage bag and tighten the bag's sealing strip to prevent it from coming loose during transportation.

Simple Folding Method (Two-Step Method)

Some mobile toilet tents are designed with a quick-storage mechanism and can be folded using the following steps:

  1. Overall compression: Grasp the tent's top handle or the intersection of the support poles and press down firmly to vertically contract the entire tent, with the bottom poles automatically folding in the process.
  2. Horizontal bundling: Fold the compressed tent horizontally and place it directly into the storage bag. This method relies on the tent's elastic frame design and does not require separate folding of the poles, but ensure that the tent model supports this function.

Precautions:

  • Before folding, make sure there are no items left inside the tent to avoid damaging the fabric or poles.
  • For long-term storage, place the tent in a dry and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight to prevent material aging.
  • If the poles become stuck or cannot be folded, do not force them. Instead, check for obstructions or structural damage at the connections.
