Small Sink for Mobile Toilets

Admin October 09, 2026

Mobile toilets can be equipped with small sinks, and some products have achieved standardized configuration of hand-washing areas. Based on available information, the design of sinks in mobile toilets primarily revolves around space utilization and functional requirements. The following provides an explanation from three aspects: configuration forms, design features, and industry trends.

I. Configuration Forms: Coexistence of Zoning and Integration
Currently, there are two typical models for sink configuration in mobile toilets on the market. Products like the Yuanting Smart Environmental Protection Public Toilet Station integrate the hand-washing counter directly into the interior space of the toilet, usually located at the entrance or side wall of a single stall, using an independent small sink design to meet basic hand-washing needs. On the other hand, the gender-separated mobile toilets from Dezhou Hongtu Metal Products Co., Ltd. adopt a more efficient layout plan: a hand-washing area is set up in the public space between the men's and women's toilet compartments, equipped with a double-basin public sink. This not only saves space inside the single stalls but also improves usage efficiency through a centralized water supply and drainage system. This zoning design is particularly suitable for high-traffic scenarios such as scenic spots and temporary event venues.

II. Design Features: Balancing Compactness and Practicality
Due to the limited space in mobile toilets, sink design must balance functionality and size. Existing products mostly use compact basins, with depths typically controlled between 15-20 centimeters and widths not exceeding 40 centimeters to fit into narrow spaces. The countertop height is mostly set between 75-85 centimeters, conforming to ergonomic standards. Some high-end models also integrate storage cabinets or pipe-hiding spaces below the sink to further optimize space utilization. In terms of material selection, stainless steel or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) have become mainstream choices. The former offers strong corrosion resistance, while the latter is lightweight and easy to clean, both meeting the frequent disassembly and assembly requirements of mobile toilets.

III. Industry Trends: Upgrading towards Intelligence and Environmental Protection
With technological advancements, sinks in mobile toilets are evolving towards intelligence. For example, some products are already equipped with sensor-activated faucets that control water flow through infrared sensing, preventing cross-contact infections and reducing water waste. Some models also integrate soap dispensers or hand-drying devices, forming a complete hand-cleaning loop. Additionally, environmental protection concepts are integrated throughout the design process: sink drainage is mostly connected to the sewage treatment system of mobile toilets, achieving water reuse through chemical precipitation, biological degradation, and other technologies. Some products even use hand-washing water for toilet flushing, forming a water resource recycling chain.

It should be noted that currently available public information does not cover specific size parameters or detailed design drawings of sinks. For customized solutions, it is recommended to directly contact the manufacturer for technical documentation.
