Mobile Toilet Signage

Admin September 20, 2026

Mobile toilet signage should adhere to the principles of clarity, rationality, and standardization, covering various aspects such as planning, placement, design, installation, and maintenance.

Signage System Planning Principles: Signs should be clearly visible, with a recommended height of 1.5 to 1.8 meters, and equipped with reflective or luminous materials at night. The content should be concise and easy to understand, using a combination of graphics and text, such as male and female symbols paired with the words 'Temporary Restroom'. The spacing should be reasonable, with one sign placed every 50 to 80 meters along main pathways, and doubled at turns and intersections.

Signage Placement in Core Areas: In the entrance guidance area, large directional signs should be placed at key points such as the main event entrance and parking lot entrance, with arrows pointing to the restroom area and indicating the distance. Main pathway signs should be suspended or freestanding, with clear arrow directions and colors primarily in blue and white or green and white. Restroom area signs should be placed 3 to 5 meters around temporary restrooms, indicating 'Male' and 'Female' zones.

Signage Design for Special Scenarios: For nighttime events, LED light strips should be added to the edges of signs or fluorescent paint used for text to enhance nighttime visibility. In high-traffic areas, multi-directional arrows paired with the words 'Queue Up' should be used. For special needs areas, accessible restroom signs should be provided for individuals with disabilities, featuring a wheelchair symbol with text instructions, placed near accessible pathways.

Installation and Maintenance Points: In terms of installation height, the bottom of the sign should be 1.2 to 1.5 meters above the ground. The fixing method should use wind-resistant brackets or in-ground installation, secured with expansion screws or ground anchors. For cleaning and maintenance, signs should be checked daily for damage or stains, and faded or damaged signs should be promptly replaced.

Other Specifications: Signage should combine main signs with zone-specific signs, with quantities matching the demand. Installation locations should be along travel routes, avoiding obstructions to sightlines and pathways. The content should include the words 'Mobile Toilet' and 'Accessible Restroom' (if applicable), and may be accompanied by male and female symbols or gender indicators. National standards stipulate that male restroom signs must use a trouser graphic with the word 'Male' or 'Men' in a dark color.
