Mobile Toilet Shower Glass Leakage

Admin October 02, 2026

Mobile toilet shower glass leakage can be resolved through methods such as sealing gaps, replacing glass doors, cleaning floor drains and drainage pipes, preventive maintenance, and proper material selection. Details are as follows:

1. Sealing gaps
Gaps between the shower glass and wall tiles or metal frames are common causes of leakage. First, clean out old sealant, dust, and moisture from the gaps. After ensuring they are dry and clean, select appropriate sealing materials to fill the gaps:

  • Silicone sealant: Suitable for bonding glass to metal and tiles, with a wide temperature resistance range (-50°C to 200°C). However, choose a 'neutral mold-resistant' type to avoid corroding metal or glass.
  • Butyl sealant: Highly durable, suitable for metal frame joints, but ensure even filling during application.
  • Epoxy resin filler: Wear-resistant and stain-resistant, suitable for tile gaps, but has a long curing time, so sufficient drying time must be allowed.
During application, use a caulking gun to evenly apply sealant along the gaps and flatten the sealant beads to form a continuous waterproof layer, avoiding missed spots or air bubbles.

2. Replacing glass doors
If the glass door is installed at an angle, the sealing strip is aged, or the glass is damaged, the airtightness will decrease. Re-measure the dimensions and replace it with a standard glass door, ensuring there are no gaps between the door frame and the glass, and install anti-collision sealing strips.

3. Cleaning floor drains and drainage pipes
Clogged floor drains or bent drainage pipes can cause water to overflow. Regularly clean the floor drain filters and use pipe unclogging agents or physical unclogging tools (such as a plunger) to remove blockages. If the floor drain's odor-proof core is damaged, replace it with an odor-proof floor drain.

4. Preventive maintenance
Regularly inspect the sealant layer for cracks or mold, especially focusing on glass corners and joints. If aging is found, thoroughly remove the old sealant and reseal. Also, check the floor drain's drainage speed to avoid the accumulation of hair and debris.

5. Material selection considerations

  • Avoid using ordinary silicone sealant. It is recommended to choose MS modified silicone sealant (temperature-resistant, environmentally friendly, and UV-resistant) or polyurethane sealant (suitable for large gaps, but requires regular inspection for mold resistance).
  • Thoroughly clean the gaps before construction to remove oil and moisture, as failure to do so will affect the bonding effect.
