Mobile Toilet Reinforced Concrete Fixation
Admin October 11, 2026
The method of fixing mobile toilets with reinforced concrete is usually suitable for scenarios where the toilets are permanently fixed or are heavy-duty. The fixation methods can be divided into the following two cases:

I. Regular Ground Fixation Method
If the ground is a common hard soil layer or a hardened surface, it is necessary to excavate a foundation pit according to the actual size of the toilet. The specific steps are as follows:
- Excavate the foundation pit: Dig a rectangular foundation pit with a depth of 50 cm and a width of 60 cm along the outline of the toilet, ensuring that the size matches the toilet chassis.
- Lay the cushion layer: Evenly lay a 10 cm thick crushed stone cushion layer at the bottom of the pit. Use compaction tools to repeatedly compact it to form a stable supporting layer and prevent concrete settlement and cracking.
- Pour concrete: After setting up the formwork, pour C30 grade concrete into the foundation pit. At the same time, insert a steel reinforcement framework (such as Φ12 deformed steel bars cross-tied) to enhance the structural strength. The concrete needs to be vibrated and compacted in layers to avoid voids.
- Connect and fix: After the concrete has solidified for 3-5 days (with a strength reaching more than 70% of the design value), firmly connect the toilet chassis to the concrete foundation using expansion bolts or chemical anchors to ensure wind and earthquake resistance.
II. Soft Ground Reinforcement Method
If the ground is a soft stratum such as backfill soil or sandy soil, it is necessary to pour a concrete foundation first and then fix the toilet:
- Pour the foundation: According to the weight of the toilet and the geological conditions, pour a reinforced concrete foundation with a thickness of not less than 30 cm. It is recommended to control the spacing of the steel reinforcement grid at 15-20 cm, with a reinforcement ratio of not less than 0.2%.
- Overall fixation: After the foundation strength meets the standard, hoist the entire toilet onto the foundation. Fix it using pre-embedded steel plate welding or high-strength bolt connection methods. If necessary, additional anchor bolts can be added for secondary reinforcement.
- Waterproof treatment: Apply waterproof sealant on the contact surface between the foundation and the toilet to prevent rainwater infiltration from softening the foundation.
Precautions:
- After concrete pouring, it needs to be covered and moisturized for curing for at least 7 days to avoid surface cracking.
- The steel reinforcement framework should correspond to the stress points of the toilet structure to ensure uniform load transfer.
- After fixation, level calibration is required to prevent the toilet from tilting and affecting usage safety.
