Mobile Toilet Production

Admin September 27, 2026

There are various ways to produce mobile toilets, and different plans can be selected according to needs and materials. Common methods include the transformation of water storage barrels and the construction of steel frame structures.

I. Water Storage Barrel Transformation Plan

The transformation of water storage barrels is a low-cost and easy-to-operate creative solution, suitable for individual or temporary use scenarios. For example, there is a case where a large water storage barrel is used as the main structure. By cutting openings to install doors and ventilation openings, waterproof materials are laid inside and a simple toilet seat is set up. Some improved models also integrate solar systems. For instance, the solar mobile toilet designed by Xiaoshuai has solar panels installed on the top of the barrel to supply power. Inside, it is equipped with lighting and ventilation equipment. At the same time, the water storage barrel is used to store flushing water, forming a self-circulating system. For such designs, attention should be paid to sealing and stability. The edges of the openings need to be reinforced to prevent deformation, and wheels or brackets can be added at the bottom to improve mobility.

II. Steel Frame Construction Plan

Professional mobile toilets usually adopt a steel frame structure, which has the characteristics of high strength and modular production. The production process is divided into three steps:

  1. Frame Welding: Use channel steel or I-beams to weld a rectangular base at the bottom to ensure load-bearing capacity. The columns are made of square steel, and the height is designed according to needs (usually 2.2-2.5 meters). The crossbeams connect the columns to form a stable structure, and lifting holes or towing interfaces need to be reserved.
  2. Wall Installation: Fix wall materials on the frame. Common choices include color steel plates (lightweight and rust-resistant), glass fiber reinforced plastics (corrosion-resistant), stainless steel (high-end and durable), or metal carved plates (aesthetic and heat-insulating). The walls need to be tightly connected to the frame, and the gaps should be filled with sealant to prevent leakage.
  3. Function Integration: Configure systems according to classification needs. For example, waterless packing toilets need to install feces collection boxes and sealing devices. Water-flushing toilets need to design water tanks, flush valves, and sewage discharge pipes. Water-saving toilets can adopt foam sealing or microbial degradation technology. In addition, ventilation systems (such as exhaust fans or natural ventilation openings), lighting equipment (moisture-proof lamps), and external signs also need to be considered.

III. Key Design Points

Regardless of which plan is adopted, it must meet the requirements of mobility and practicality:

  • The frame structure needs to pass mechanical calculations to ensure safety during lifting or towing.
  • The sewage treatment system needs to meet environmental protection requirements to avoid secondary pollution.
  • The internal space needs to be reasonably laid out. It is recommended that the size for adult use be no less than 1.2m×1.2m.
  • The material selection needs to take into account both durability and cost. For example, for outdoor use, it is recommended to choose anti-corrosion steel and waterproof plates.
