Mobile Toilet Interior Wall Size Standards

Admin October 01, 2026

The size standards for the interior walls of mobile toilets vary depending on the type and design, and must be determined comprehensively based on the toilet type, functional requirements, and material characteristics. The following explains from three aspects: the interior wall materials and corresponding sizes of different types of toilets, the space standards for single toilet compartments, and the special requirements for barrier-free toilet compartments.

I. Interior Wall Materials and Corresponding Sizes for Different Types of Toilets Economic mobile toilets typically use white anti-slip PVC panels as interior wall materials, with a single interior wall size of 1.1×1.1×2.4 meters (length×width×height). This material is anti-slip and easy to clean, making it suitable for high-frequency use scenarios in public places. Standard double-unit toilets select high-grade PVC扣板 (buckle panels) for their interior walls. These materials are installed through buckle panel splicing, allowing for flexible size adjustments to accommodate different spatial layouts, while also possessing moisture-proof and corrosion-resistant properties. High-end four-unit toilets use black and white mosaic tiles as interior wall decorations. The tile sizes need to be pieced together according to the design pattern, with the overall height usually consistent with that of economic toilets (2.4 meters), but requiring a 1-2 centimeter grout space to ensure aesthetics. The double interior walls of high-end luxury toilets use light beige microcrystalline stone tiles, which have a smooth surface and strong wear resistance. The size of a single interior wall can be expanded to 1.2×1.2×2.4 meters to match its high-end positioning.

II. Space Standards for Single Toilet Compartments The interior space of an ordinary single toilet compartment needs to meet basic usage requirements, with a length range of 1.00-1.50 meters and a width range of 0.85-1.20 meters. This size range can accommodate standard toilets, squat toilets, and necessary activity space, while also taking into account the comfort of users of different body types. For example, a toilet compartment with a length of 1.2 meters and a width of 1.0 meter can accommodate most adults, while a compartment with a length of 1.5 meters and a width of 1.2 meters provides more spacious turning space, suitable for scenarios where luggage or assistive devices are carried.

III. Special Requirements for Barrier-Free Toilet Compartments Barrier-free toilet compartments need to meet the requirements for wheelchair rotation and assistive device operation, with an internal clear width usually needing to reach more than 1.5 meters and a clear depth of more than 1.8 meters. This standard ensures that wheelchairs can complete a 180-degree turn within the compartment, while also reserving operating space for caregivers. For example, a toilet compartment with a clear width of 1.5 meters and a clear depth of 1.8 meters can accommodate the safe distance (about 0.6 meters) between a standard wheelchair (about 0.7 meters wide) and a toilet, while also reserving a 0.2-meter buffer space. In addition, the doors of barrier-free toilet compartments need to be designed as outward-opening or sliding types, with a door width of no less than 0.9 meters to avoid obstructing rescue in emergency situations.
