Requirements for Mobile Toilet Installation Locations
The installation location of mobile toilets must meet various requirements regarding distance, environment, pedestrian flow, stability, access, and environmental protection.

Distance Requirements: Mobile toilets should be placed at appropriate distances from main pathways, entrances/exits, and crowded areas to avoid obstructing passage. It is generally recommended to maintain a minimum safety distance of 1.5 meters from building exteriors to ensure space for pedestrian movement and equipment maintenance. If installed at event venues, they should be positioned at a reasonable distance from the audience seating to prevent odor or visual disturbances while ensuring quick access.
Environmental Conditions: The site selection should avoid low-lying areas prone to water accumulation to prevent rainwater backflow or equipment dampness. It should also be kept away from pollution sources (such as garbage dumps or sewage pipes) to avoid cross-contamination. The surrounding ground should be solid and level to facilitate vehicle access for transportation and daily cleaning and maintenance. If the site has soft soil, it should be reinforced in advance or paved with a hardened foundation.
Pedestrian Flow Considerations:
- Large Event Planning: Allocate toilet units based on estimated attendance. For example, at concerts, one standard mobile toilet should be provided for every 500 people to ensure supply meets demand.
- Key Area Layout: Toilet units should be placed within 50 meters of the audience seating, prioritizing high-demand areas such as entrances/exits, near the stage, dining areas, and rest areas.
- Gender Ratio Optimization: It is recommended to maintain a male-to-female toilet ratio of 1:1.5, increasing the number of female toilet units to alleviate queuing issues and improve usage efficiency.
Installation Stability: Before installation, ensure the ground is level. Secure the equipment to the ground using expansion screws to prevent tipping due to use or wind. The top should be equipped with a sunshade or rainproof facility to protect the equipment from prolonged exposure to sunlight and rain, extending its service life.
Access Requirements: The access width should be no less than 1.2 meters to accommodate wheelchair access and ensure rapid evacuation in emergencies. The access area should be kept clear of obstructions.
Environmental Protection Requirements: The installation site must comply with environmental standards, prohibiting direct damage to green belts or lawns. If installation is required on soft ground, non-slip tiles or hardened panels should be laid to minimize ecological impact. Wastewater generated during use must be discharged through compliant pipelines to prevent soil or water source pollution.
