How to Install Mobile Toilets in Rural Areas

Admin October 02, 2026

The installation method of mobile toilets in rural areas needs to be carried out according to specific types and requirements. The common situations and steps are as follows:

1. Installation of finished mobile restrooms If it is a finished mobile toilet prefabricated in the factory, its internal water supply and drainage systems have been pre-laid, and external interfaces (such as water inlet pipes, drainage pipes, sewage pipes, etc.) have been reserved. During installation, simply connect the reserved interfaces to the water source and sewage pipes of rural households. For example, the water inlet pipe can be connected to the tap water pipeline or bucket water supply system, the drainage pipe needs to be connected to the septic tank or sewage discharge pipeline, and the sewage pipe needs to be connected to the designated treatment facility according to local environmental protection requirements. After connection, check the tightness to avoid water leakage or odor leakage, and then it can be put into use. This installation method is simple and fast, suitable for rural households with basic sanitation facility requirements.

2. Installation of simple mobile toilets Some simple mobile toilets adopt a modular design, and the installation process usually consists of six steps:

  • Check accessories: After unpacking, check the instruction manual to confirm whether accessories such as the toilet body, water tank, sewage pipe, and sealing ring are complete to avoid installation interruption due to missing parts.
  • Assemble the main body: Fix the toilet base and water tank with buckles or screws to ensure a firm connection.
  • Install the sewage pipe: Select a pipe of appropriate length according to the position of the sewage outlet, and fix the interface with a sealing ring or tape to prevent leakage.
  • Connect the water source: If it is a water tank water supply type, fill the water tank with water; if an external water source is required, install a water inlet valve and connect the water pipe.
  • Debug functions: Check whether the flushing and sewage discharge functions are normal, and adjust the water level in the water tank to an appropriate height.
  • Fix the position: Place the toilet on a flat ground, and if necessary, fix the base with expansion screws to avoid displacement during use. This installation method is suitable for scenarios with limited space or temporary use, but it is necessary to regularly clean the water tank and sewage pipe to prevent blockage.

3. Installation of integrated restrooms When installing an integrated restroom in rural areas, if the self-contained accessories are insufficient or of substandard quality, they need to be purchased separately (such as selecting Jinniu brand for water pipes and Liansu brand for accessories). The following problems and solutions may be encountered during the installation process:

  • Support leg adjustment: If the support legs are of different lengths, use a cutting machine to trim them to a uniform height to ensure the stability of the restroom.
  • Vertical pipe position adjustment: Move the position of the vertical pipe according to the drainage requirements, which may require re-slotting or welding the pipeline.
  • Base slotting: If the ground is uneven, slot the base and fill it with cement or shims to ensure levelness.
  • Circuit connection: The bathroom heater and exhaust fan need to be wired separately and equipped with a leakage protector to ensure electrical safety; the switch position should be easy to operate.
  • Waterway connection: Take water from an appropriate location (such as a tap water pipeline or well), drill holes through the wall, weld the water pipe, and select a durable mixing valve to control the water temperature.
  • Sealing treatment: After testing the circuit by turning on the light, seal the joints of the wall panels and ceiling panels to prevent water seepage or air leakage. The entire installation process may take 1.5 to 3 days. It is necessary to pay attention to the material quality (such as the thickness of tempered glass and the strength of wall panels) to avoid shoddy work affecting the service life.
