Mobile Toilet House Construction Guide
The construction of mobile toilets can be divided into two plans: the water storage tank/container modification type (personal DIY) and the panel house structure type (industrial). The specific steps are as follows:

I. Water Storage Tank/Container Modification Type (Personal DIY Plan)
Basic Structure Construction
- Cutting the Water Storage Container: Use an angle grinder to split the water storage tank or container in half along the middle or cut it according to the marked lines on the top to form an open container. Keep the edges flat during cutting to avoid burrs affecting subsequent installation.
- Increasing Height and Mobility: Install universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board or pallet. Stack the cut water storage containers and fix them with self-tapping screws to form a movable base. If higher stability is required, add horizontal support rods.
- Building Walls and Roof: Insert plastic soft boards or wooden boards as walls. Place the upper part of the water storage tank on top as the roof. Cut rectangular openings as doorways and install sponge strips or metal frames to reinforce the door frames and prevent deformation.
Internal Equipment Installation
- Drainage System: Make a hole at the bottom of the tank, install an elbow and a water pipe to form a floor drain, and connect it to a sewage tank or an external drainage pipe. The toilet should be placed aligned with the drainage hole and fixed and sealed with glass glue to prevent leakage.
- Water Supply System: Connect the top water storage device to a showerhead and a washbasin through water pipes and install a three-way joint to distribute the water flow. The washbasin can be modified from a stainless steel basin and fixed on a pipe cap to ensure a tight joint.
- Detail Optimization: Paint waterproof paint to beautify the wooden strips and install hinges and door handles. If power supply is required, a solar panel can be installed (circuit layout needs to be planned in advance).
II. Panel House Structure Type (Industrial Plan)
Materials and Structure
- Frame: Use square steel pipes or light steel sections for welding to ensure a stable structure.
- Wall Panels and Roof: Select color-coated steel sheets or metal sandwich panels filled with polyurethane insulation material. The roof needs to be covered with waterproof membranes.
- Floor: Use non-slip checkered steel plates or glass steel plates for easy cleaning and slip resistance.
Installation Steps
- Site Preparation: Level the ground and pour a simple concrete foundation if necessary to prevent ground settlement.
- Unit Assembly:
- Weld the frame and then install the wall panels, roof, and floor in sequence, ensuring that the joints are sealed.
- Fix the toilet (squat or sit), water tank, washbasin, and ventilation device. Install insect screens at the ventilation openings.
- Pipe Connection: Connect the water supply and drainage pipes and use Teflon tape to seal the joints; connect the circuit to solar LED lights or other lighting devices.
- Fixing and Reinforcement: Fix the frame to the ground with anchor bolts or place counterweights to prevent tipping.
Function Expansion
Add accessibility facilities (such as wheelchair ramps and handrails), hooks, paper towel holders, and other auxiliary functions according to needs to improve usability.
Precautions: The water storage tank plan is suitable for temporary or personal use, and the tightness must be strictly checked; the panel house plan requires professional welding and is suitable for long-term needs such as construction sites and event venues.
