Splicing of Great Wall Boards for Mobile Toilets
Admin October 13, 2026
The splicing of Great Wall boards for mobile toilets should follow standardized procedures and pay attention to key details to ensure a sturdy structure, a flat appearance, and waterproof durability.

Splicing Steps
Preparation Stage
- Clean the board surface: Use a soft cloth or brush to clean the surface of the Great Wall boards, ensuring there is no dust, oil, or debris that could affect adhesion or fixation.
- Precise measurement: According to the design drawings, use a tape measure or laser distance meter to measure the dimensions of the boards and mark the cutting lines to ensure that the dimensions at the splicing points match and minimize errors.
Alignment and Trial Assembly
- Initial alignment: Place the two Great Wall boards in their preset positions and adjust the angles so that the seams are perfectly aligned, paying special attention to the smooth engagement of the concave and convex grooves.
- Light tapping inspection: Use a rubber mallet or wooden mallet to lightly tap the splicing points and observe whether they are tightly fitted. If there are gaps, readjust the position of the boards or check the accuracy of the dimensions.
Fixation and Reinforcement
- Fixation with special clamps: Use special clamps for splicing Great Wall boards (such as C-clamps) to clamp the splicing points tightly, maintaining uniform pressure to avoid local deformation.
- Nailing or gluing: Choose the fixation method according to the material: For wooden Great Wall boards, use a pneumatic nail gun to drive nails along the seams; for PVC or metal boards, use special glue for bonding and provide temporary support until the glue cures.
Filling the Gaps
- Select a gap filler: Use a waterproof gap filler (such as silicone sealant) that matches the color of the boards to evenly fill the seams and ensure a flat surface.
- Smoothing treatment: Use a gap-filling scraper or a wet finger to smooth out the excess gap filler and avoid unevenness that could affect the appearance or cause water accumulation.
Precautions
Material consistency
- Ensure that all the Great Wall boards used for splicing are from the same batch and of the same material to avoid seam cracking or deformation due to differences in the coefficient of thermal expansion and contraction.
Avoid excessive tapping
- Control the force when lightly tapping for inspection to prevent dents or cracks on the board surface, especially for thin or brittle materials (such as some PVC boards).
Seam flatness
- After splicing, use a straightedge or feeler gauge to check the seams to ensure there is no significant unevenness (the error should be ≤0.5mm); otherwise, readjust or sand them.
Quality acceptance
- After completing the splicing, pull the boards to test their firmness and observe whether the seams leak water (simulate the test by spraying water) to ensure there is no looseness or water leakage.
Post-treatment
- Surface cleaning: Use a dry cloth to wipe the surface of the boards to remove any residual gap filler or fingerprints.
- Protective treatment: Metal boards need to be painted with anti-rust paint; wooden boards can be brushed with varnish or waterproof coating to extend their service life.
By following standardized operations and paying attention to details, high-quality splicing of Great Wall boards for mobile toilets can be achieved, meeting both functional and aesthetic requirements.
