Mobile Toilet Floor Leveling

Admin September 22, 2026

The following methods and key points can be referred to for mobile toilet floor leveling:

I. Basic Leveling and Drainage Slope Treatment
The core of mobile toilet floor leveling is to ensure smooth drainage and prevent water accumulation. First, use a mixture of cement and sand to mark points and determine the reference height, and plan the secondary drainage slope according to the overall layout of the toilet. Generally, the slope should be controlled at 2%-3% (i.e., a drop of 2-3 centimeters per meter in length) to ensure that water flows naturally towards the floor drain or drainage outlet. If there are local depressions on the floor, they should be filled and compacted first to avoid hollowing or cracking during subsequent use.

II. Special Treatment for Toilet Relocation
If toilet relocation is involved, floor leveling needs to be adjusted in combination with the thickness of the structural layer:

  1. Chiseling out the backfill layer: Use professional tools to clean the original floor, expose the leveling layer and backfill layer, and measure whether the total thickness of the two meets the installation requirements for the new toilet's drainage pipe (generally, a space of 10-15 centimeters needs to be reserved).
  2. Floor elevation plan: If the original structural layer is insufficient, the floor needs to be elevated in layers using cement mortar or lightweight concrete, with each layer not exceeding 5 centimeters in thickness. Ensure that each layer is dry and cured before proceeding with the next layer of construction. After elevation, the drainage slope needs to be re-planned to avoid affecting drainage efficiency due to height changes.

III. Repair Methods for Slight Unevenness
For slight unevenness on the floor (with an error of ≤5 millimeters), the following two methods can be used:

  1. Cement mortar leveling: Mix cement and sand in a ratio of 1:3, add water and stir until it reaches a plastic state. Apply it evenly to the floor with a scraper, detect the flatness with a level gauge, and polish it with a polishing machine until smooth after initial setting.
  2. Self-leveling material leveling: Choose a high-flow, fast-drying self-leveling cement, mix it according to the instructions, pour it onto the floor, and level it with a special roller. The material will automatically level and fill the pits, and it can be completely dry within 24 hours, suitable for scenarios with high flatness requirements.

IV. Construction Precautions

  1. Base layer treatment: Before leveling, thoroughly clean the floor of dust and oil stains, and wet the base layer with water to prevent the cement mortar from cracking due to rapid water loss.
  2. Curing period: After leveling is completed, cover the floor with plastic film or wet burlap for curing for 7 days. Avoid stepping on it or placing heavy objects on it during this period to prevent surface sanding.
  3. Waterproof connection: If the mobile toilet involves a waterproof layer, the leveling layer needs to be tightly combined with the waterproof layer. Make rounded treatments at the corners of walls and pipe roots and apply waterproof coating to avoid leakage risks.
