Mobile Toilet Fire Rating Requirements
The common fire ratings for mobile toilets include Class A, Class B1, Class B2, and Class B3. National regulations stipulate that mobile toilets used in public buildings and other venues must comply with corresponding fire safety standards, with most commonly achieving a Class B1 fire rating.

The classification of fire ratings for mobile toilets is primarily based on factors such as materials and structure, with different ratings exhibiting distinct combustion characteristics:
- Class A: Classified as non-combustible building materials, they rarely catch fire. Some prefabricated mobile toilets can achieve a Class A fire rating standard. These toilets not only have excellent fire resistance but can also operate normally in extreme temperatures ranging from -30℃ to 60℃, making them suitable for venues with extremely high fire safety requirements and harsh environmental conditions.
- Class B1: Considered difficult-to-ignite building materials, they are resistant to catching fire, micro-burning, and carbonization when exposed to open flames or high temperatures in the air. Once the fire source is removed, combustion or micro-burning stops immediately. Generally, most mobile toilets can achieve a Class B1 fire rating, meeting the basic fire safety needs of most public venues.
- Class B2: Classified as combustible building materials, they catch fire or micro-burn immediately upon exposure to open flames or high temperatures in the air, continuing to burn or micro-burn even after the fire source is removed. Some mobile toilets have a Class B2 fire rating, with relatively weaker fire resistance compared to Class B1, and may be used in venues with less stringent fire safety requirements.
- Class B3: Considered highly flammable building materials, they catch fire easily in the air and continue to burn even after the fire source is removed, having the poorest fire resistance. They are generally not recommended for use in public venues.
The state has clear regulations regarding the fire ratings of mobile toilets used in public buildings and other venues, which must comply with corresponding fire safety standards. The quality and fire resistance of mobile toilets produced by different manufacturers vary. Mobile toilets produced by large, reputable enterprises are designed and selected in strict accordance with national standards, with fire ratings that can better meet the needs of the usage venues, approaching or even achieving high fire safety standards. In contrast, products from some small manufacturers may fall short in material selection and manufacturing processes, resulting in relatively lower fire ratings.
