Mobile Toilet Fence Guardrail Installation

Admin October 08, 2026

The installation of mobile toilet fence guardrails requires following steps such as site selection assessment, foundation construction, equipment placement, and accessory installation, and completing the overall installation in combination with professional services and the selection of fence types.

  1. Site Selection and Site Assessment
Before installation, conduct on-site surveys of the site. Prioritize flat and solid ground, avoiding slopes, low-lying areas, or areas with soft soil to ensure the stability of the toilet. At the same time, consider the surrounding environment, such as the convenience of passage for users and the coordination with surrounding facilities (e.g., green belts, roads), to avoid affecting the functions of public spaces. If there is a drainage requirement at the site, reserve a slope or design a drainage system.

  2. Foundation Construction
Select the foundation type according to the size and weight of the toilet:

  • Concrete foundation: After excavating the foundation pit, lay a crushed stone bedding (with a thickness of approximately 10 - 15 cm), pour concrete with a strength of C20 or above, reserve bolt holes for fixation, and ensure that the surface has a level error of ≤5 mm to ensure precise对接 (docking, here it means precise connection) with the fixed parts at the bottom of the toilet.
  • Steel structure support: Suitable for temporary or light-duty toilets. It needs to be welded using national standard steel. Anti-slip pads or expansion bolts should be installed at the bottom of the support, and the bearing capacity should meet the weight requirements when the toilet is fully loaded.
  1. Equipment Transportation and Placement
After being prefabricated in the factory, the toilet units are transported to the site by flatbed trucks. During transportation, the corners should be wrapped with anti-collision strips to avoid damage to the internal sanitary ware. When placing them in position, use cranes or forklifts for slow lifting to ensure that the bottom of the toilet is aligned with the fixed points on the foundation. Install anchor bolts through the reserved bolt holes, and the torque value should meet the design requirements (e.g., the torque of M16 bolts should be ≥80 N·m).

  2. External Accessory and Fence Installation

  • Accessory installation: Handrails should be made of stainless steel, with a fixed-point spacing of ≤1.2 m and a bearing capacity of ≥200 kg. Signboards should comply with the standards of "Public Information Graphical Symbols", with a height of 1.5 - 1.8 m from the ground. Trash cans should be in line with the style of the toilet, and it is recommended that their capacity be ≥50 L.
  • Fence selection:
    • Municipal fence services: In areas such as Xiamen, you can contact professional merchants to provide the installation of PVC fences or metal fences, with a typical height of 1.8 - 2.2 m. Personnel passages (with a width of ≥0.8 m) need to be reserved.
    • Fence rental: In Taizhou and other places, you can rent water-filled barriers (suitable for temporary isolation) or iron horse barriers (suitable for crowd control). When installing them, use sandbags or expansion bolts for fixation to prevent tipping over.
  1. Environmental Cleanup and Acceptance
After installation, clean up the debris on the site, check the stability of the fence, the toilet door lock, and the drainage function to ensure compliance with the requirements of the "Urban Public Toilet Design Standard" (CJJ14 - 2016). If it is a temporary facility, set up warning signs and conduct regular inspections and maintenance.
