Mobile Toilet - Fecal Tank Type

Admin September 24, 2026

The fecal tank type of mobile toilet is a type of mobile toilet that uses a fecal tank as its sewage disposal method, representing an application form of dry-pack mobile toilets. The following provides a detailed introduction from the perspectives of basic concepts, types, brands and materials, specifications and uses, etc.

Basic Concepts
Mobile toilets are designed as movable facilities to meet the toilet needs in temporary or fixed locations. Their core advantages lie in flexible deployment and rapid installation. Fecal tank mobile toilets collect excreta through built-in fecal tanks without the need to connect to underground sewage pipes, making them suitable for areas without municipal sewage network coverage, such as outdoor event venues, construction sites, and disaster relief areas.

Types and Working Principles
According to the sewage treatment method, mobile toilets can be divided into water-flushing types, non-water-flushing suction types, circulating water-flushing types, and dry-pack types. The fecal tank type is a typical representative of the dry-pack type. Its working principle is as follows: excreta directly falls into a sealed fecal tank through a squat toilet or a sit toilet. Some models are equipped with degrading agents to reduce odors and decompose solid waste. When the capacity of the fecal tank approaches its limit, it needs to be cleaned by using a special vehicle for pumping or manually replacing the fecal tank.

Brands and Material Selection
Mainstream fecal tank brands in the market include Jinhong Pipeline, Jiasheng, Huajie Lvyuan, etc. The materials cover stainless steel (corrosion-resistant and long-lasting), plastic (lightweight and low-cost), color-coated steel (structurally stable), and fiberglass (high-strength and easy to clean), etc. Different materials are suitable for different environments: for example, plastic fecal tanks are mostly used for short-term events, while stainless steel fecal tanks are more suitable for long-term fixed use.

Specifications and Use Adaptation
Fecal tank mobile toilets come in various height specifications, commonly ranging from 2.3m to 2.9m. The height selection needs to consider the space limitations of the use scenario and human engineering requirements. Their application scenarios are wide-ranging, including but not limited to:

  • Outdoor Events: Temporary venues such as music festivals and sports events, where rapid deployment meets the needs of large crowds.
  • Public Facilities: As supplements to fixed toilets in parks, scenic spots, etc., to relieve pressure during peak periods.
  • Emergency Relief: After earthquakes, floods, and other disasters, they serve as temporary sanitation facilities to ensure basic living needs.

Advantages and Limitations
The core advantages of the fecal tank type lie in its independence from water sources and sewage pipes and its high mobility. However, the fecal tank needs to be cleaned regularly. If not properly maintained, it may produce odors, so it requires professional cleaning services and regular disinfection measures.
