Mobile Toilet Fecal Storage Capacity

Admin October 10, 2026

The fecal storage capacity of mobile toilets varies depending on their type and design specifications, with a common capacity range of 200 to 1500 liters. They can be categorized into the following three types:

1. Single-unit Air-water Flush Mobile Toilets
The capacity of the fecal storage tanks in this type of toilet varies widely, primarily designed according to the usage scenario and scale.

  • Small-scale Events or Single-user Models: The fecal storage tank capacity is mostly 500-800 liters, suitable for short-term, low-frequency usage scenarios, such as temporary exhibitions or single-person restrooms.
  • Medium-capacity Models: The fecal storage tank capacity is 800-1200 liters, meeting the needs of medium-scale events or long-term use by multiple people, such as in scenic spots or construction sites.
  • Large-capacity Models: The fecal storage tank capacity can reach 1200-1500 liters, suitable for public places with high foot traffic, such as large music festivals or sports events, reducing the frequency of cleaning.

2. Standard Mobile Toilets
The fecal storage tank volume of this type of toilet is usually 200-500 liters, with a design focus on versatility and cost-effectiveness.

  • Basic Configuration: With a capacity mainly ranging from 200-500 liters, it can meet the daily usage needs of 50-125 person-times, calculated based on 4 uses per person per day. For example, a toilet with a 500-liter fecal storage tank can support 125 people if cleaned once a day.
  • Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for short-term events or areas with moderate foot traffic, such as community gatherings or small construction sites, with the cleaning cycle adjusted according to the actual usage frequency.

3. Small and Medium-sized Mobile Toilets
The capacity division of this type of toilet focuses more on the comprehensive storage capacity of waste and wastewater.

  • Small Mobile Toilets: With a capacity of approximately 300-400 liters, mainly used for storing waste and wastewater, suitable for low-frequency usage scenarios, such as temporary facilities in remote areas or single-person office spaces.
  • Medium-sized Mobile Toilets: With a capacity of approximately 400-500 liters, having larger storage space compared to small models, supporting short-term use by multiple people, such as in school events or temporary medical stations.

Summary: The fecal storage capacity of mobile toilets should be selected based on the usage scenario, foot traffic, and cleaning conditions. For short-term, low-frequency usage, standard or small toilets with a capacity of 200-500 liters can be chosen; for medium to long-term, high-traffic scenarios, it is recommended to select air-water flush or medium-sized toilets with a capacity of over 800 liters to ensure hygiene and operational efficiency.
