How to Design and Produce a Mobile Toilet
Admin October 05, 2026
The design and production of a mobile toilet can refer to the case of modifying a water storage tank. The specific steps are as follows:

Basic Framework Construction
- Water Storage Tank Processing: Select a water storage tank of an appropriate size and use an angle grinder to split it in half lengthwise to serve as the main structure of the mobile toilet.
- Mobile Device Installation: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board to ensure the mobile toilet can move flexibly.
- Height Adjustment: Use wooden strips and self-tapping screws to fix them on the upper side of the tank to increase the interior height of the toilet and enhance user comfort.
Wall and Roof Construction
- Doorway and Door Frame: Create a doorway on the side of the water storage tank, install sponge strips to form a door frame, and embed plastic soft boards to form an elevated wall, enhancing the privacy and stability of the toilet.
- Roof Installation: Place the upper half of the water storage tank on top of the wooden strips as the roof. Apply white waterproof paint to the wooden strips to improve aesthetics and prevent rain erosion.
Internal Facility Installation
- Simple Door Production: Use foam strips to splice discarded honeycomb wooden boards to make a simple door, ensuring smooth opening and closing with a certain degree of sealing.
- Drainage System: Drill a hole at the bottom of the tank and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain for easy sewage discharge. Drill holes on the side and bottom of a plastic bucket and install direct connectors. Place the plastic bucket on the roof to form a small water storage device for storing flushing water.
- Bathing Facilities: Use water pipes to make a bath heater to provide basic bathing functions. Install a three-way connector below the inlet pipe and connect a showerhead for easy rinsing by users.
- Toilet Installation: Place the toilet and install a water tank, fixing it with glass glue to ensure the toilet is stable and does not leak. Connect the drain pipe to the sewage tank to achieve centralized sewage treatment.
- Sink Installation: Horizontally connect a water pipe to the three-way connector of the outlet pipe and extend it to the doorway as the inlet pipe for the sink, facilitating hand washing by users.
Other Considerations
Mobile toilets can be classified into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets based on their structural form; into hoisting and handling mobile toilets, powered and towed mobile toilets based on their mobility; and into water-flush and waterless-flush suction mobile toilets, and circulating water-flush mobile toilets based on their sewage treatment method. When designing and producing, choose the appropriate type according to actual needs and usage scenarios.
