Mobile Toilet Cleaning and Disinfection Methods
Admin October 09, 2026
A systematic approach is required for the cleaning and disinfection of mobile toilets, covering prevention, cleaning, maintenance, and safety protection. The specific operations are as follows:

I. Preventive Maintenance Measures
- Pretreatment Isolation Method: Lay biodegradable decomposition pads or add high-concentration microbial agents in the toilet bowl. Through biological decomposition, organic matter in urine and feces is converted into water and carbon dioxide, reducing solid residue and ammonia production, and lowering the difficulty of subsequent cleaning.
- Anti-odor Check Valve: Install a one-way check valve at the entrance of the sewage pipe to prevent gas backflow in the pipe and avoid odor diffusion.
II. Cleaning Operation Procedures
- Dry-then-Wet Cleaning:
- Dry Cleaning: Use a scraper or vacuum cleaner to remove visible solid waste, avoiding direct contact with the waste.
- Wet Flushing: Flush the inner walls with high-pressure hot water above 60℃ combined with a neutral cleaning agent to dissolve grease and dirt.
- Deep Disinfection:
- Physical Disinfection: Use ultraviolet lamps or ozone generators to irradiate the enclosed space for more than 30 minutes to kill pathogens such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
- Chemical Disinfection: Wipe high-frequency contact areas such as toilet seats and lids with a chlorine-containing disinfectant (e.g., 84 disinfectant), let it stand for 5-10 minutes, and then wipe off the residue with clean water.
III. Application of Technical Means
- Smart Monitoring: Mobile toilets equipped with liquid level sensors and IoT modules can monitor the waste capacity and odor concentration in real-time and automatically trigger cleaning work orders to improve maintenance efficiency.
- Cleaning Agents:
- Enzymatic Cleaners: Use biological enzymes to specifically decompose fats and proteins, reducing chemical residues.
- Nano-silver Antibacterial Coating: Form a long-lasting antibacterial film on the surface to inhibit bacterial growth and reduce the frequency of cleaning.
- Equipment Assistance: Use mobile vacuum sewage trucks to extract waste through negative pressure, avoiding manual contact, and simultaneously perform pipe backflushing.
IV. Treatment of Key Areas
- Toilet Base and Floor Joint: Thoroughly clean black scale to prevent bacterial growth.
- Sewage Pipe: Regularly flush with high-pressure hot water or a dedicated pipe cleaner to avoid scaling and blockage.
V. Safety Precautions
- Agent Contraindications: Never mix toilet cleaner with 84 disinfectant to avoid producing toxic chlorine gas.
- Personal Protection: Wear rubber gloves and masks during cleaning and maintain ventilation to prevent inhalation of harmful gases.
VI. Future Trends
Automatic cleaning robots have been piloted and can independently complete the entire process of spraying, brushing, suction, and drying, further reducing the risk of manual contact.
