Mobile Toilet Charter Guide

Admin September 21, 2026

When renting mobile toilets as a whole package (charter), planning should be carried out from six aspects: demand, qualifications, equipment, contracts, maintenance, and emergency response. Here is a specific guide:

1. Clarify Demand and Quantity Determine the number of people and the duration of use based on the usage scenario (events, construction sites, exhibitions, etc.) to reasonably allocate the number of toilets. For example, event organizers in Hunan recommend providing 1-2 restrooms for every 100 people and reserving 1-2 extra ones; construction sites in Nanping require 1-2 standard toilets for every 50 people, and long-term leasing is recommended for projects lasting more than three months; events in Zhoukou allocate 1 mobile toilet for every 50-100 people and also reserve extra quantities. At the same time, it is necessary to evaluate the site conditions in advance, such as the flatness of the ground, the completeness of the drainage system, and whether a permit for occupying the road is required to avoid installation obstacles.

2. Choose a Legitimate Rental Company Give priority to companies with qualifications, such as business licenses, hygiene licenses, and urban domestic waste operational cleaning licenses. Confirm whether the service scope includes transportation, installation, cleaning, maintenance, and emergency response to avoid hidden costs (such as deposits, overdue fees, and transportation fees should be clearly listed). The reliability of their services can be verified by checking company cases or customer reviews.

3. Equipment Types and Configurations

  • Select models according to the scenario: For events with a high flow of people (such as music festivals), choose multi-toilet-cubicle partitioned models to reduce queuing; for construction sites or camping, choose basic squatting-position + flushing-system models with lower costs; for high-end scenarios (such as weddings and scenic spots), customized luxury models with aromatherapy and hand sanitizer can be provided.
  • Key configurations: Choose stainless steel or thickened plastic for the material, which is durable and corrosion-resistant; for sewage disposal, give priority to movable sewage outlet designs for easy cleaning; for outdoor power supply, consider solar panels to avoid the risk of wire entanglement; for soft ground, choose models with anti-slip wheels and reinforced bases to prevent tilting.

4. Sign a Detailed Contract Clarify the rental price (including deposits, daily rent, and overtime fees), service scope, delivery time, installation location, and liability for breach of contract. Agree on emergency plans, such as reinforcement or relocation measures in case of rainstorms, strong winds, and other weather conditions, to ensure the safety of the equipment.

5. On-site Installation and Maintenance The rental company needs to arrive at the site in advance for installation and debugging to ensure that the equipment is clean and the facilities are intact (such as door locks, flushing systems, and sufficient toilet paper). For large-scale events, it is recommended to clean the toilets every 4 hours and check and replenish consumables every 2 hours when there is a high flow of people; for construction site rentals, avoid dumping construction waste into the toilets. For long-term rentals, confirm night shift services to prevent uncleaned toilets at night.

6. Emergency Plan Reserve spare equipment to prevent failures of the main equipment; in Hunan, consider sunshade and cooling measures in summer and pipeline antifreeze measures in winter; construction sites in Nanping can contact the sanitation department to coordinate temporary public toilets or stock portable mobile toilets. It is recommended to make reservations 1-2 weeks in advance, and even earlier planning is required during peak seasons (such as holidays and construction peak seasons).
