Service Life of Mobile Toilet Booths

Admin October 13, 2026

**The service life of mobile toilet booths is significantly influenced by factors such as material, craftsmanship, usage environment, and maintenance, resulting in considerable variations that cannot be generalized. **

Low-end fiberglass simple models: These are primarily used in short-term temporary settings, such as construction sites and temporary events. They have poor weather resistance and are prone to cracking and leakage after about 3 years of exposure to outdoor sunlight. This is due to the gradual aging of the fiberglass material's molecular structure under prolonged ultraviolet radiation and temperature fluctuations, leading to decreased strength and compromised sealing properties.

Conventional galvanized steel sheet/color-coated steel sheet models: These are currently the mainstream choice in the market. Their lifespan depends on the thickness of the steel and the anti-corrosion treatment process. Ordinary anti-rust paint may show signs of rust within one to two years in humid environments, whereas frame structures treated with hot-dip galvanizing or special anti-corrosion methods can maintain structural integrity for over five years under the same conditions, with an overall service life exceeding 10 years. They can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -30℃ to 50℃. Color-coated steel sheet booths generally have a service life of 3 to 8 years, depending on the quality of the coating and the installation process.

Stainless steel/composite material models: These are typically used for high-end customizations or specific locations, such as scenic spots and commercial areas, where aesthetics and durability are highly valued. These materials offer superior corrosion resistance and strength. For example, some products feature square steel structures and automotive-grade paint finishes, providing excellent anti-corrosion and anti-rust properties, with a service life of up to 30 years. Their advantage lies in the high stability and anti-aging properties of the materials themselves, enabling them to maintain their appearance and functionality over the long term.

Usage scenarios and environmental intensity: Prolonged exposure to high temperatures, high humidity, coastal saline-alkali environments, or extreme cold can accelerate material aging, paint fading, and metal rusting. In high-intensity usage scenarios, such as tourist attractions and transportation hubs with heavy foot traffic, mechanical components wear out much faster than in low-frequency usage scenarios, all of which affect the service life.

Daily maintenance and care: Proper daily maintenance and care can effectively extend the service life by 3 to 5 years, allowing the booths to reach 15 years or even longer under normal use. Conversely, neglecting maintenance can significantly reduce their lifespan and lead to premature failure. For example, regular cleaning, inspection of seals, and lubrication of mechanical components can significantly enhance the durability of the booths.
