Mobile Public Toilet Circuit Maintenance

Admin October 12, 2026

Mobile public toilet circuit maintenance should be carried out according to the specific type of fault. Common situations and maintenance methods are as follows:

I. The circuit breaker cannot be turned on

  1. Circuit fault troubleshooting: First, check whether it is caused by overload (such as using multiple electrical appliances simultaneously) or short circuit (poor wire contact, damaged insulation layer). Confirm that there are no burnt or broken marks on the wires and plugs. If the circuit breaker is hot or smoking, replace it with one of the same specification immediately. If the problem is still not resolved, contact a professional electrician to use a multimeter to test the circuit and troubleshoot hidden faults.
  2. Switch damage handling: If the circuit test is normal but the circuit breaker still cannot be turned on, it may be due to oxidation of the internal contacts or mechanical structure damage of the switch. First, disconnect the main power supply, disassemble the switch housing, check whether the contacts are blackened or stuck, replace the new switch if necessary, and reconnect the power supply to test the function.

II. Leakage trip handling If the leakage switch trips frequently, prioritize troubleshooting the problem of line-to-ground leakage (such as reduced line insulation due to the humid environment in the restroom). Use an insulation resistance tester to test the line insulation value. If it is lower than 0.5 megohms, check the line segment by segment, focusing on whether there is damage or water ingress at the socket and lamp connection points. After repairing the leakage point, reset the switch and observe whether it trips again. If it still trips, further check whether the equipment grounding is standard.

III. Lighting or ventilation system faults

  1. Lighting system maintenance: Check whether the bulb is burnt out (such as filament breakage, socket oxidation) and replace it with an LED bulb of the same power. If the bulb is normal, test whether the line voltage is stable (use a multimeter to measure) and check whether there is a断路 (open circuit) or虚接 (poor contact) in the line from the switch to the lamp.
  2. Ventilation system maintenance: Check whether the fan is stuck (confirm by manually rotating the fan blades). If it is stuck, clean up foreign objects or replace the bearing. If the fan is running but there is no air flow, check whether the air duct is blocked (such as dust accumulation on the filter screen). If the fan does not work at all, test whether the capacitor is faulty (use a capacitor meter to measure) or whether the motor winding is断路 (open circuit).

Maintenance principles and safeguard measures: Maintenance should follow the principles of safety, timeliness, economy, and long-term effectiveness. After maintenance, conduct a no-load trial run for more than 30 minutes, confirm that there are no abnormalities before putting it into use, and have it reviewed and accepted by the management personnel. It is recommended to establish a professional maintenance team, regularly carry out circuit safety training, optimize the maintenance process (such as establishing a fault code library), and stock up on commonly used parts (such as circuit breakers, switches, bulbs) to ensure timely replacement.

Precautions: Non-professionals are strictly prohibited from operating the circuit without authorization. Before maintenance, the main power supply must be disconnected and a warning sign must be hung. When working in a humid environment, wear insulating gloves and use insulating tools. If it involves high-altitude operations (such as replacing the top lamp), build a stable scaffold and fasten the safety belt.
