What Category Does Mobile Public Toilet Belong To

Admin October 09, 2026

Mobile public toilets do not fall into the first, second, or third categories of fixed public toilets; instead, they belong to the category of movable public toilets.

Public toilets are mainly divided into two major categories—fixed and movable—based on their construction forms and characteristics. Fixed public toilets, as the name suggests, are permanently located at a specific site and cannot be moved. These toilets are further divided into two types: standalone and attached. Standalone public toilets are independently constructed and not attached to other buildings. Depending on the surrounding environment and architectural design requirements, they are classified into first, second, and third categories. First-category standalone public toilets are typically located in bustling urban areas or important public venues, featuring exquisite designs and comprehensive facilities. Second-category ones may be situated in general public areas, with relatively simpler facilities that still meet basic needs. Third-category ones are more commonly found in areas with low toilet demand or limited space, with more basic facilities. Attached public toilets are built adjacent to other buildings, such as shopping malls, restaurants, and train stations. Based on the venue and architectural design requirements, they are classified into first and second categories, with the main difference lying in the completeness and comfort of the facilities.

Mobile public toilets, on the other hand, are completely different from fixed public toilets. They are movable public toilets that can be used in various locations, including towed toilets, vehicle-mounted toilets, and other forms. The greatest feature of mobile public toilets is their flexibility, as they can be quickly deployed in various corners of the city as needed, such as at large event venues, temporary construction sites, or natural disaster sites. Due to this characteristic of mobile public toilets, they do not belong to the classification system of fixed public toilets but are categorized as movable public toilets. The design of movable public toilets places greater emphasis on practicality and convenience to meet toilet needs in temporary or mobile scenarios.
