Mobile Outdoor Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

A mobile outdoor toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public. It is suitable for various places and has multiple structural forms and sewage treatment methods.

I. Basic Components A mobile outdoor toilet generally consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or disposal device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and mobile device, among others. These components together form a complete toilet unit, ensuring its functionality and practicality. For example, the fecal sewage storage tank is used to collect and treat excreta, the sanitary ware provides the basic conditions for using the toilet, and the mobile device enables flexible movement.

II. Classification Methods

  1. By structural form: Mobile outdoor toilets can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure toilets are usually relatively simple and suitable for small-scale needs; composite-structure toilets are more complex and may contain multiple functional areas, suitable for large-scale or high-demand places.
  2. By mobility method: They can be divided into lifting and handling-type mobile toilets and powered and towed-type mobile toilets. Lifting and handling-type toilets rely on external equipment for movement, while powered and towed-type toilets have autonomous mobility capabilities, making them more flexible and convenient.
  3. By sewage treatment method: They can be divided into water-flush and waterless-flush suction-type, circulating water-flush type, and dry-packing type, among others. Water-flush toilets use water flow to flush excreta, waterless-flush suction-type toilets use vacuum suction technology for treatment, circulating water-flush toilets achieve water resource recycling, and dry-packing toilets pack excreta for treatment, reducing pollution.

III. Application Scenarios Mobile outdoor toilets are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets, among others. These places usually have a high demand for toilet facilities due to heavy foot traffic, and the mobility and flexibility of mobile outdoor toilets enable them to be quickly deployed to meet temporary or emergency needs.

IV. Design Principles The design of mobile outdoor toilets should follow the principles of mobility and convenience, economic durability; environmental protection and ecological friendliness, beneficial to the environment; improving efficiency and promoting humanity. The overall structure should consider being lightweight and durable, using lightweight materials as much as possible while ensuring structural robustness. The height and width of the toilet should also be controlled during design to facilitate transportation and installation. The design of the mobile device should also fully consider completeness and rationality to ensure that the toilet can be moved stably and safely.
