Mobile Hall Toilet Water Incident

Admin September 21, 2026

The 'Mobile Hall Toilet Water' incident was a farce triggered by a security guard's rumor-mongering, with no evidence indicating that the mobile service hall supplied toilet water as drinking water to customers.

Incident Origin

Initially, a security guard claiming to be from a mobile service hall in Yiwu, Zhejiang, posted a video denouncing the hall's staff, alleging that the water in the hall's drinking fountain was sourced from the toilet's water pipes, had turned green and smelly, and that this situation had persisted for a long time. Unable to bear it, he posted the video to report and call the police. The video quickly spread online and trended, sparking intense public attention and widespread doubts, with concerns arising over the mobile service hall's hygiene and integrity.

Incident Reversal

Subsequently, the situation took a turn. The security guard, when interviewed by reporters, recanted, admitting that the video he posted due to emotional issues contained false information and constituted rumor-mongering. He also posted a video clarifying that his previous claim about the hall supplying toilet water to customers was incorrect after verification, and that the water was actually from tap water. This reversal fundamentally altered the nature of the incident, shifting it from a seemingly serious hygiene and integrity issue to an individual's act of rumor-mongering.

Response from the Service Hall

The superior of the involved service hall stated that the security guard, after being dismissed, harbored resentment and resorted to posting false videos to retaliate against the hall. The company also made it clear that it would hold the security guard accountable to safeguard its legitimate rights and reputation.

Lessons from the Incident

This incident reminds the public to remain rational and objective when faced with online information and not to jump to conclusions based solely on one party's claims. It also serves as a warning to individuals that when posting information online, they must abide by laws, regulations, and moral standards, and should not fabricate or disseminate false information for personal gain, as they will face corresponding legal consequences.
