Mobile Container House Design Drawing
Currently, there are no directly available design drawings for mobile container houses, but design planning can be carried out by combining the following key points:

I. Functional Layout Design Mobile container houses can adopt a compact layout of "two bedrooms, one living room, one kitchen, and one bathroom", which is particularly suitable for small families or temporary living scenarios. For example, in the case of a small town in Jiangsu, by reasonably planning the interior space, living comfort was achieved within a single container. For living room design, it is recommended to use low furniture (such as low sofas and low coffee tables), which can not only reduce visual oppression but also improve space utilization. Bedrooms can be set at both ends of the container, with beds arranged along the length of the container, and the middle area can be designed as storage or activity space. For kitchens and bathrooms, special attention should be paid to ventilation and wet-dry separation. You can refer to the combination of unified natural wood furniture and white home decor in actual cases to create a warm atmosphere.
II. Structural Modification and Customization The original structure of the container needs to be modified by cutting or removing side walls. For example, in the Danish case, by cutting part of the side walls and installing large windows, the indoor lighting and transparency were significantly improved. When making modifications, the following should be noted:
- Sealing Treatment: The cut edges should be welded and reinforced, and anti-rust paint should be applied to ensure structural stability;
- Thermal Insulation Treatment: Containers have strong metal thermal conductivity, so insulation layers (such as polystyrene boards or rock wool) should be installed on the inner and outer walls. In the Jiangsu case, containers with insulation layers could maintain a comfortable temperature in winter with the help of air conditioners;
- Ventilation Design: Ventilation openings should be added to the roof or side walls to avoid stuffiness inside, especially suitable for kitchen and bathroom areas.
III. Appearance and Interior Decoration The appearance can be beautified by painting or covering with materials. For example, in the Danish case, the corrugated metal inner walls and ceilings of the container were retained, creating an industrial style feature; or it can be completely covered with wooden boards or decorative panels to create a warm home style. For interior decoration, it is recommended to use light colors as the main theme (such as white walls paired with natural wood furniture), and introduce natural light through large windows to reduce the cold feeling of the metal structure. The wet-dry separation in bathrooms can be achieved through glass partitions or shower curtains, and non-slip floor tiles should be laid on the ground to improve safety.
IV. Actual Case References
- Jiangsu Small Town Case: The interior of a single container has clear zoning, and temperature control is achieved through the cooperation of air conditioners and insulation layers. The combination of natural wood furniture and white home decor is simple and practical;
- Danish Case: Nine containers are spliced together to form a family residence. Through a large number of windows and the retention of metal inner walls, a unique style is formed, which is suitable for design needs that pursue individuality.
When designing, it is necessary to adjust the layout and materials according to specific needs (such as the number of occupants and climatic conditions) and ensure compliance with local building codes.
