Admin September 17, 2026

Currently, no specific information has been found regarding the construction of fire stations in Longyan using container houses. However, an analysis can be made based on the existing fire station construction situation in Longyan and the general characteristics of container house fire stations.

Existing Fire Station Construction in Longyan

Longyan has built five full-time small fire stations in areas such as Xinluo Longmen, Longzhou Industrial Park, Yongding Xiyang, Shanghang Jiaoyang, and Zhangping Dingjiao, all of which have been completed and put into operation. These fire stations adhere to the construction standards of having personnel, equipment, and combat effectiveness. They are equipped with equipment and materials that meet the actual needs of fire suppression and emergency rescue in their respective jurisdictions, enabling them to meet local fire safety needs to a certain extent. Additionally, Yongding District in Longyan has a procurement project for equipment and materials for the construction of micro fire stations in rural areas in 2025, aiming to further enhance fire safety protection capabilities in rural areas. However, none of these projects mention the use of container houses for fire station construction.

General Characteristics of Container House Fire Stations

A container house fire station uses modified containers as the main building structure of the fire station. This type of fire station has some unique advantages. For example, the construction period is short. Since the containers are prefabricated, they only require simple modification and assembly before being put into use. It has high flexibility, allowing for modular combination and movement according to actual needs, facilitating deployment at different locations. The cost is relatively low. Compared to traditional brick-and-mortar buildings, the construction and maintenance costs of container houses are more economical. However, it also has some limitations. For instance, its thermal and sound insulation performance may not be as good as that of traditional buildings, and the user experience may be poor under extreme weather conditions. The space is relatively limited, which may impose certain restrictions on the functional layout and equipment storage of large fire stations.

Although there is currently no specific information about container house fire stations in Longyan, with the continuous changes in fire safety needs and the development of construction technology, Longyan may explore this new model of using container houses for fire station construction in the future.
