Local Mobile Public Toilet

Admin October 05, 2026

A local mobile public toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public.

I. Basic Composition A local mobile public toilet generally consists of multiple parts. The fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device) is used to collect and treat fecal sewage, ensuring the hygiene of the toilet. The floor provides a stable standing and activity space for users. Sanitary fixtures such as toilets or squat pans meet basic toilet needs. Walls serve to separate and protect privacy. Washing equipment facilitates user cleaning. The water tank supplies water for flushing and other operations. The roof provides shelter from wind and rain. The mobile device is a key part that enables the toilet to be moved as a whole.

II. Classification Methods According to the structural form, they can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. The single-structure type is relatively simple and independent, while the composite-structure type may be composed of multiple parts and may have more complex and diverse functions. According to the moving method, they can be divided into lifting and handling mobile toilets, which mainly rely on external lifting or handling equipment for movement; and powered and towed mobile toilets, which have their own power or can be moved by vehicle towing. According to the sewage treatment method, they can be divided into water-flushing and non-water-flushing suction mobile toilets. The water-flushing type is cleaned by water flow, while the non-water-flushing suction type uses a suction device to treat feces. The circulating water-flushing mobile toilet can recycle water to save water resources. The dry-packing mobile toilet dry-packs feces for treatment.

III. Main Features Its biggest advantage is that it can be easily transported to places where toilets need to be installed and can be used repeatedly. It has the characteristics of mobility, combinability, and convenient transportation. This allows it to be flexibly arranged according to the needs of different venues and can be easily transferred after the event is over.

IV. Applicable Venues It is suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. For example, in 2023, mobile toilets were gradually installed and put into use in the Lanzhou Yellow River Scenic Area, providing convenience for tourists. There is a movable public toilet at the Tianwang Hall of Qibao Temple on No. 1205 Xinzhen Road, Qibao Town, Minhang District, Shanghai, which meets the toilet needs of local people on the move.
