The city has 9 prefabricated component production enterprises that cooperate with leading companies such as Hangxiao Steel Structure and Changsha Yuanda. Multiple production lines for concrete prefabricated components and steel structures have been established, with products covering more than 20 types, including prefabricated stairs, composite slabs, and ALC lightweight wall panels. The industrial chain has achieved complete local production, not only meeting local demands but also supplying areas such as Shanghai, southern Jiangsu, northern Zhejiang, and Shandong, forming a cross-regional radiation capacity.

Lianyungang has issued multiple policy documents to promote the development of prefabricated buildings: The 2015 "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Modernization of the Construction Industry" requires relevant departments to open green channels for prefabricated projects; the 2021 "Notice on Further Clarifying the Requirements for the Construction of Green Buildings and Prefabricated Buildings" specifies the construction standards for prefabricated buildings in new projects and encourages an increase in the prefabrication ratio.
