Langezhuang Mobile Toilets
Langezhuang has mobile toilets, including a public toilet (Langezhuang Mobile Toilet No. 1) and six newly added eco-toilets in mid-September 2024. Here is a detailed introduction:

Public Toilet (Langezhuang Mobile Toilet No. 1)
A public toilet named "Public Toilet (Langezhuang Mobile Toilet No. 1)" is located opposite to No. 29 Langezhuang Village, with geographical coordinates of 40.069159, 116.375725. This toilet is a traditional mobile toilet type, providing basic toilet services for villagers and transient populations.
Six Newly Added Eco-Toilets
In mid-September 2024, under the coordination of the district and township governments, Dongxiaokou Township Langezhuang Village added six eco-toilets along the roads near densely populated and high-traffic areas within the village. These newly added eco-toilets have the following features:
- Accessibility Facilities: Three of the toilets have been renovated with disabled ramps and equipped with barrier-free access to facilitate use by disabled individuals and those with mobility impairments.
- Resource Utilization Technology: They employ resource-based biological toilet technology, equipped with biological organic fertilizer fermentation equipment and solid-liquid separators. After a certain period of full fermentation and maturation, the waste can be converted into high-quality organic fertilizer, achieving resource utilization of waste and reducing environmental pollution.
- Optimized Layout: Previously, Langezhuang Village had five public toilets, but due to the large village area, densely populated western areas and parking lots with high transient populations were not fully covered. The six newly added eco-toilets are strategically placed in these areas, effectively filling the coverage gaps of the existing toilets and enhancing the equity of public services.
Construction Background and Significance
The installation of these eco-toilets is a livelihood project coordinated and promoted by the government, aiming to address the uneven distribution of toilet facilities in Langezhuang Village due to its vast territory through technological upgrades and optimized layout. Simultaneously, it introduces environmental protection technologies to promote the rural toilet revolution towards resource utilization and harmlessness. The new toilets not only improve the living conditions of villagers and transient populations but also provide a replicable practical case for rural environmental governance.
