Kunming has carried out practices such as the Dianchi Resort Mobile Toilet Vehicle Project and the 10th South-Asia Expo Mobile Toilet Support Project in the field of mobile ecological public toilets.

Dianchi Resort Mobile Toilet Vehicle

• Facility Upgrades and Advantages: The newly added mobile toilet vehicles by Yunnan Jinghuan Haijie Company have undergone comprehensive upgrades to address traditional shortcomings. The vehicles are equipped with individual stalls to ensure privacy, along with facilities such as hand-washing basins and ventilation systems. They offer three major advantages: environmental protection and water conservation, mobility and convenience, and rapid response, enabling them to be available on demand.
• Capacity and Comfort: Customized for high-traffic scenarios, these vehicles abandon the old design of shared stalls for men and women and add more squatting positions to serve multiple people simultaneously. Each stall is equipped with air conditioning, a fresh air system, a hand-washing basin connected to tap water. The women's toilet has five squatting positions, while the men's toilet has three squatting positions and three urinals, allowing for a total capacity of about 11 people. Additionally, two dedicated stalls for the disabled are provided, one each in the women's and men's toilets, with emergency buttons installed inside.
• Flexible Scheduling and Disposal: These vehicles can be dispatched on demand and flexibly positioned in areas with high demand based on changes in pedestrian flow. When the sewage and fresh water tanks are full, they can remain stationary while an environmentally friendly portable suction truck removes the waste and transports it to a professional disposal site.
• Deployment Status: The vehicles were officially put into use on November 1, 2026. As the seagull-watching season approaches, they will be prioritized for deployment in areas with high concentrations of people to disperse crowds and reduce waiting times. The Haigeng Dam is equipped with two fixed public toilets and three sets of mobile public toilets, along with professional signage to guide tourists.

10th South-Asia Expo Mobile Toilet Support Project

• Bidding Results: A bidding meeting was held on June 8, 2026, and based on the principle of awarding the contract to the bidder with the highest comprehensive score, Kunming Kangting Environmental Sanitation Equipment Co., Ltd. was selected as the winning bidder.
• Project Overview: To meet the environmental sanitation needs of the venues and surrounding areas during the 10th South-Asia Expo, it is planned to increase the rental of mobile toilet services. The number and locations of these toilets can be adjusted according to pedestrian flow and demand, effectively alleviating queue pressures, ensuring environmental sanitation and order at the venue, and preventing uncivilized behavior.
• Budget Funds: The project amount is 150,000 yuan, with funds sourced from the 2026 departmental budget under the item "Special Working Funds for the 10th South-Asia Expo."
• Contracting Standards and Target Requirements: The contracting entity must possess the corresponding qualifications and capabilities. The enterprise is required to provide mobile toilets that are clean and well-maintained in appearance, with no less than 50 toilet stalls. The interiors should be equipped with various facilities, and waste should be removed promptly to ensure normal operation. Daily consumables should be adequately supplied during operating hours.
