Jize Outdoor Mobile Toilet Structure
Admin September 28, 2026
The structure of the outdoor mobile toilet in Jize County is centered around a three-chamber septic tank, combined with supporting facilities in the mobile toilet house, forming a harmless treatment system. The specific structure is as follows:

I. Three-chamber Septic Tank Structure
The septic tank consists of three interconnected sealed chambers (Chamber 1, Chamber 2, and Chamber 3), with a total volume of no less than 1.5 cubic meters and a volume ratio of 2:1:3.
- Chamber 1 (Fermentation Chamber): Receives feces and decomposes solid matter through anaerobic fermentation. The chamber body is equipped with an inlet pipe for feces (with a diameter ≥ 100mm) and an exhaust pipe interface. The exhaust pipe must extend more than 50cm above the toilet house roof to prevent gas backflow.
- Chamber 2 (Sedimentation Chamber): Middle-layer fecal liquid flows in through a fecal transfer pipe (with the inlet located one-third down the chamber wall) for further sedimentation of parasite eggs. The fecal transfer pipes must have staggered openings to prevent fecal liquid short-circuiting.
- Chamber 3 (Fertilizer Storage Chamber): Stores matured fecal liquid, which can be used as agricultural fertilizer. The overflow outlet must be no less than 100mm from the top edge of the chamber to prevent fecal liquid overflow.
Sealing and Connection: Rubber sealing materials must be installed at the connections between chamber bodies. The interfaces between the fecal transfer pipes and chamber walls must be sealed with waterproof glue to prevent leakage.
II. Supporting Facilities in the Mobile Toilet House
- Toilet Fixture: A straight-through squat toilet is used, directly connected to the inlet pipe for feces to reduce fecal liquid residue.
- Flushing Equipment: A foot-operated flushing bucket is used, with a single flush volume of no more than 0.4 liters. In winter, the water storage bucket must be moved indoors or wrapped with insulation materials to prevent freezing.
- Cover Plates and Maintenance Ports:
- Inspection ports (with a diameter ≥ 200mm) and cleaning ports (with a diameter ≥ 300mm) are located on the top of the chamber bodies for daily inspection and cleaning.
- Maintenance ports must be equipped with anti-freeze collars (insulating sleeves) and deodorizers (activated carbon or silica gel deodorizing devices) to prevent odor diffusion.
III. Materials and Workmanship
- Septic Tank Body: Made of polyethylene or polypropylene through injection molding, with a wall thickness ≥ 3mm, featuring corrosion resistance and aging resistance.
- Partition Design: The partitions are of a one-piece design with buckles to prevent deformation and leakage, while supporting the chamber body structure to ensure independent sealing of the three chambers.
IV. Sanitation Management Requirements
- Regular Inspection: Inspect the water volume in the storage bucket every 30 days to prevent flushing failure due to water shortage. It is prohibited to pour solid waste such as vegetable leaves and plastic bags into the flushing equipment to prevent pipe blockage.
- Fermentation Cycle: The septic tank must maintain a fermentation period of more than 30 days to ensure a parasite egg kill rate of over 95%, meeting harmless standards.
This structure is provided with technical parameters by Hebei Huizhe Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. and is suitable for rural outdoor environments in Jize County, balancing environmental protection and practicality.
