Quality of Mobile Toilets in Jing'an District

Admin October 17, 2026

The quality of mobile toilets in Jing'an District has seen significant improvements in various aspects, demonstrating high-quality service and management standards.

Resolving Nuisance Issues and Optimizing Layout: Previously, the mobile public toilet near Wuding Road and Taixing Road, being close to residential areas, posed a prominent issue of unpleasant odors during summer, causing nuisance to residents. In 2025, thanks to the proactive performance of people's representatives and efficient collaboration among government departments, the nuisance-causing public toilet was successfully demolished and relocated. Meanwhile, efforts were made to guide pedestrian flow and divert toilet demands to nearby public toilets in Hudiewan Park and Shimen Er Road, among others. Additionally, the upgrade and renovation of the district's public toilet system were promoted, enhancing the rationality and applicability of mobile toilets in terms of overall layout.

Intelligent Management: The intelligent management platform for public toilets has been optimized and upgraded, with the installation of intelligent displays, intelligent lighting, intelligent sensor faucets, and sensor-flush toilets, making management and usage more efficient and convenient. Voice prompt systems, emergency call systems, and timer reminder systems are configured to ensure the safety of citizens using the toilets. Administrators can use the 'Yece' app to collaborate with on-site intelligent monitoring equipment, improving safety and responsiveness during nighttime toilet usage, reflecting the application and enhancement of technology in public toilet management.

High-Quality Services: Barrier-free toilet stalls,母婴室 (nursing rooms), and parent-child toilets have been established, equipped with child-specific toilet seats, safety seats, and other facilities to meet diverse toilet needs. The interior and exterior decoration of public toilets creates a warm and natural environment through the use of potted plants, cartoon stickers, and soft lighting. Different public toilets also feature unique designs based on their own characteristics, such as the open corridor rest area with imitation wood benches and charging ports at Pengjiang Post, the fitness-themed decoration at Yuewei Post, and the extensive vertical greenery on the exterior of Lexiang Post.

Humanized Services: The renovated public toilets are equipped with walking aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, and canes for public use. They also provide personalized services for the elderly, weak, sick, and disabled, adhering to the 'Six Hearts' service philosophy and permeating humanized services into every detail.

Support for Large-Scale Events: Mobile toilets play a crucial role in large-scale events such as concerts and sports competitions in Jing'an, Shanghai. With their characteristics of easy installation, large capacity, and mobility, they can be quickly deployed to event sites. Special designs are made for events to ensure reasonable layout planning, and some events have received positive feedback from audiences due to the well-planned layout of mobile toilets. Meanwhile, mobile toilets used in sports events are also being upgraded towards environmental protection.
