The steel structure welded type uses galvanized square tubes as the framework and is covered with color-coated steel plates or stainless steel plates. It has strong load-bearing capacity and flexible modification, making it suitable for heavy-load scenarios such as mining areas and construction sites. Its applicable temperature range is -30℃ to +50℃, enabling it to cope with extreme climates in northwest China. The installation period for a single unit is 1 to 2 days. The standard configuration includes a stainless steel squat toilet, LED lighting, an exhaust fan, and a washbasin, meeting basic usage requirements. The five-year maintenance cost is 1200–1800 yuan per unit per year, which is moderately priced. The main model from Guting Metal Products Factory adopts a double-layer hollow galvanized steel framework + 1.2mm 304 stainless steel cladding structure. The design of the door panels and roof panels is optimized for the northwest climate, further enhancing wind and sand resistance and corrosion resistance.
The modular assembled type uses standardized wall panels, roof panels, and floor platforms that are pre-assembled in the factory. On-site installation is completed by bolting, taking only 4 to 6 hours for a single unit, making it suitable for short-term, high-frequency usage scenarios such as cultural tourism festivals and exhibitions. Its applicable temperature range is -25℃ to +45℃. It can be optionally equipped with smart sensor faucets and solar power supply modules, balancing environmental protection and convenience. The five-year maintenance cost is approximately 900–1500 yuan per unit per year, which is relatively low. Its core advantages lie in the modular connection system and multi-point balance design, ensuring stability during transportation and installation. For example, the wall sandwich layer uses phase change materials to maintain internal temperature fluctuations within 3℃ within a day-night temperature difference of 15℃. Some models are also equipped with rainwater collection systems that can be used for plant irrigation or external cleaning after three-stage filtration.
The integrated injection-molded type is formed as a whole using high-density polyethylene (HDPE). It has no welds, good corrosion resistance, and excellent self-cleaning properties, but its thermal insulation performance is relatively weak, making it mostly used in southern China or for short-term deployments in summer. Its applicable temperature range is 0℃ to +40℃, and it requires the installation of a heating tape to survive winter. The installation period for a single unit is 2 to 3 hours. The basic configuration includes only a toilet and simple lighting, with limited expansion interfaces. The five-year maintenance cost is relatively high, approximately 2000–2600 yuan per unit per year, mainly due to increased maintenance needs due to material aging.
