Is It Hot to Live in a Container House?
Whether it is hot to live in a container house depends on its design and configuration and cannot be generalized.

Ordinary container houses are usually made of metal materials. Metal has strong thermal conductivity and poor thermal insulation. In hot summers, the high outside temperature will quickly conduct through the metal shell into the interior, causing the internal temperature to rise rapidly. Living in such a house will feel very stuffy and uncomfortable.
However, if appropriate modifications and configurations are made to the container house, its thermal insulation performance can be effectively improved. For example, use 7.5-centimeter-thick color-steel rock wool boards and other thermal insulation materials to wrap or fill the container. Color-steel rock wool boards have good thermal insulation properties and can reduce the transfer of outside heat into the interior. At the same time, equipped with air-conditioning equipment, even on the hottest days, the house will become cool within about half an hour of turning on the air conditioner, providing a relatively comfortable temperature environment for the occupants.
In addition, some professional container apartments fully consider thermal insulation performance in their design. They use the principle of aluminum foil heat reflection in the application of thermal insulation layers. Aluminum foil can reflect most of the thermal radiation, thereby blocking outside heat from entering the interior. At the same time, good sealing performance can effectively reduce heat convection and minimize the heat exchange between indoor and outdoor air. When the ambient temperature reaches 40°C, the internal temperature can still be controlled at around 25°C. Moreover, these container apartments also focus on ventilation and lighting design and are equipped with advanced temperature control systems. Reasonable ventilation design can accelerate the circulation of indoor air, taking away heat and moisture; good lighting can reduce the dependence on artificial lighting during the day and also help regulate the indoor temperature. The advanced temperature control system can automatically adjust the operation of air conditioners and other equipment according to changes in indoor and outdoor temperatures, providing occupants with a more comfortable and stable living environment.
