Insulated Mobile Container House

Admin September 17, 2026

The insulated mobile container house is a habitable or office building form that uses containers as the basic structural modules and is transformed to have thermal insulation properties. It is widely applied in multiple fields.

The core of the insulated mobile container house lies in the realization of its thermal insulation performance, mainly achieved through material selection and structural design. For example, Lanzhou Liqun Color Plate Steel Structure Engineering Co., Ltd. adopts polyurethane foam integrated forming technology. The produced thermal insulation composite panels combine the insulation layer with the structural layer, forming a continuous seamless insulation system that effectively reduces heat transfer. This material not only has excellent thermal insulation performance but also has airtightness, preventing the infiltration of hot and cold air. It is suitable for scenarios such as living, office, villas, and hotels.

The modular integrated houses of Hebei Qiheng Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. feature an integrated safety protection design, incorporating multiple functions such as fire prevention, thermal insulation, heat insulation, and waterproofing. Their insulation layers may use inorganic materials such as rock wool and glass wool. These materials are high-temperature resistant, non-combustible, and have a low thermal conductivity coefficient, enabling them to maintain stable thermal insulation performance for a long time and meet the safety requirements of conventional environments.

The thermal insulation design of construction site container mobile houses focuses more on practicality. The exterior walls usually use anti-corrosion wood, metal carved panels, or color-coated steel plates, while the interior walls use integrated interior wall panels with extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam boards filled in between. The closed-cell rate of XPS boards is as high as 99%, and the thermal conductivity coefficient is as low as 0.028-0.034W/(m·K), which can significantly reduce indoor and outdoor heat exchange. The wall thickness is 150-200 centimeters (there may be a unit error here; it is usually 150-200 millimeters). When combined with XPS boards, the indoor temperature in winter is 8-12℃ higher than that outdoors, and in summer, it is 5-8℃ lower, adapting to a temperature difference range of -20℃ to 40℃. In addition, some designs also add insulation layers on the roof, forming a three-dimensional insulation system to further enhance energy-saving effects.

The thermal insulation performance of insulated mobile container houses gives them significant advantages in extreme climate regions (such as extremely cold or hot areas). At the same time, their modular characteristics support rapid disassembly and assembly and repeated use, reducing long-term use costs and making them an ideal choice for temporary buildings, tourism facilities, emergency shelters, and other fields.
