How to Build a Mobile Toilet Indoors
The following is a feasible plan for building a mobile toilet indoors:

I. Basic Structure Construction
Select a corrosion-resistant water storage tank (such as one made of plastic) as the main frame and split it in half along its longitudinal centerline. Install universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom wooden board to ensure mobility. If additional stability is required, anti-slip mats or fixed brackets can be added to the bottom of the tank.
II. Height and Wall Treatment
- Heightening Design: Fix wooden strips and self-tapping screws along the upper edge of the tank to form a circular support structure. The recommended height is 1.8-2 meters to accommodate adult use.
- Wall Installation: Insert waterproof plastic soft panels as wall materials and secure them to the wooden strips with rivets or glue to ensure airtightness. Reserve a door opening position on the soft panels and treat the edges with sealing strips to prevent leakage.
- Roof Covering: Invert the other half of the water storage tank to serve as the roof. Seal the connection between the roof and the walls with waterproof glue. A ventilation opening or a small exhaust fan can be installed on the top.
III. Door Frame and Door Construction
- Door Frame Structure: Install sponge strips on both sides of the door opening as buffer sealing layers. Reinforce the outer layer with wooden boards or PVC panels to ensure the door frame is flush with the wall.
- Door Construction: Use discarded honeycomb wooden boards to piece together the door panel. Cover the surface with a waterproof film or thin aluminum plate and fill the gaps at the edges with foam strips. The door lock can be a simple latch or a magnetic design.
IV. Drainage System Installation
- Floor Drain Design: Drill a hole at the center of the bottom of the tank and install a PVC drain pipe (with a diameter of 5-10 centimeters) connected to the outdoors or a dedicated sewage tank. A filter screen should be installed at the pipe opening to prevent clogging.
- Side Sewage Discharge: Drill a hole 10 centimeters from the bottom of the tank on the side and install a direct connector to connect the sewage pipe, extending it to the outdoors or a sewage collection pool. If space is limited, a small electric sewage pump can be used to assist in discharge.
- Sealing Treatment: Wrap all connectors with waterproof glue or PTFE tape to ensure no leakage.
V. Sanitary Ware and Water Supply Device Installation
- Toilet Installation: Choose a lightweight portable toilet and fix it inside the tank. Connect the water tank to the water supply system through a water pipe. If a flushing function is required, a micro water pump or a manual water press device can be added.
- Bathing Facilities: Use a water pipe to make a simple bath heater bracket and connect a three-way valve to divert hot water to a showerhead. Extend the showerhead hose to the outside of the door and pair it with a foldable washbasin. The water inlet pipe shares the water source with the toilet water tank through a three-way valve.
- Water Supply Plan: If there is no tap water connection indoors, a combination of a water storage tank and a manual pump can be used, or it can be directly connected to the outlet of a household water purifier.
Additional Notes: If you need to adjust the position of the sewage outlet over a short distance (10-40 centimeters), you can refer to the offset connector method. If the ground is uneven, you can use the ground elevation method (raise the toilet area with cement or wooden boards) to ensure the drainage slope. When building, prioritize the use of waterproof and mold-resistant materials and regularly check the airtightness.
