Construction of Mobile Toilets in Hunjiang District
Admin October 08, 2026
The construction of mobile toilets in Hunjiang District should be systematically advanced from three aspects: design adaptability, material performance, and construction process:

I. Design Should Adapt to Regional Environmental Characteristics
Hunjiang District has a north temperate continental monsoon climate, with an extreme minimum winter temperature of -25°C, an annual precipitation of 800-1000 mm, and a mountainous terrain (with the highest peak at an altitude of 1492 meters). The design of mobile toilets should meet the requirements of cold resistance, moisture resistance, and weather resistance:
- Structural Wind and Snow Resistance: According to the "Public Toilet Design Standards", calculations for wind load (0.55 kN/㎡) and snow load (0.7 kN/㎡) should be completed to ensure the stability of the steel structure under extreme weather conditions.
- Thermal Insulation and Energy Efficiency: The walls should use 50mm metal carved panels (with a polyurethane insulation layer as the core material, with a thermal conductivity coefficient ≤ 0.03 W/(m·K)), and the ground base should be equipped with a 50mm XPS insulation layer. The window frames should use broken-bridge aluminum + double-glazed windows (with an airtightness rating ≥ Grade 6) to reduce heat loss.
- Winter Support System: An electric tracing system (with a power of 20W/m) should be configured to prevent pipeline freezing. An insulated water tank (wrapped with 50mm rock wool) should ensure winter water supply. For the biological degradation fecal tank, low-temperature active bacteria (-5°C to 40°C can work normally) should be selected to ensure a winter degradation efficiency of ≥ 80%.
II. Materials and Equipment Should Be Strictly Selected
- Main Materials: The steel structure should use national standard galvanized square tubes (80×80×3mm), with a welding spacing of 300-400mm, and the anti-corrosion treatment should be three coats of epoxy zinc-rich primer + fluorocarbon topcoat. The wall metal carved panels should be lined with B1-grade fire-resistant gypsum boards, and the ground should be paved with anti-slip vitrified tiles (with a friction coefficient ≥ 0.6).
- Environmental Protection Equipment: Sanitary ware should select water-saving squat toilets (with a flush volume of 6L/time) and sensor faucets. The environmental protection system should include biological degradation fecal tanks (0.5m³ per toilet cubicle) and activated carbon deodorization devices (with a ventilation frequency ≥ 5 times/h).
- Construction Machinery: A 25t truck crane (with an operating radius of 12m) should be equipped for the main body lifting, and an electric welding machine (ZX7-400) should be used to complete the steel structure welding. For winter construction, a diesel air heater (30kW) should be added to maintain the operating environment temperature.
III. Construction Process Should Be Managed in Stages
- Prefabrication (15 days): Complete the steel structure welding, module assembly, and anti-corrosion treatment in the factory, and simultaneously carry out the pre-installation of equipment such as biological degradation fecal tanks and insulated water tanks.
- On-site Installation (20 days):
- Foundation Construction: For seasonal frozen soil (with a maximum freezing depth of 1.2m), each toilet cubicle should use an independent C30 concrete foundation (800×800×600mm), with a foundation bearing capacity ≥ 150kPa. If necessary, graded sand and gravel should be used for replacement (500mm thick).
- Main Body Lifting: Use a truck crane to lift the prefabricated modules to the foundation and fix them with bolts.
- Pipeline Connection: Complete the connection of the water supply and drainage, electrical, and electric tracing systems to ensure tightness.
- Commissioning and Acceptance (10 days): Test the operating effects of the sanitary ware, environmental protection system, and winter support equipment. The acceptance criteria should include indicators such as flush volume, ventilation frequency, and degradation efficiency.
