Hunan Temporary Mobile Toilet Design
Admin October 11, 2026
The design of temporary mobile toilets in Hunan needs to be comprehensively considered from four aspects: type selection, layout planning, functional design, and technical characteristics to meet the actual needs of different scenarios.

Type Selection
According to the usage scenarios and requirements, temporary mobile toilets in Hunan can be divided into four categories:
- Single-unit Mobile Toilets: These feature an independent box structure equipped with basic facilities such as squat or sit toilets, sinks, and ventilation openings. They are suitable for small-scale events or temporary needs, such as community gatherings and temporary construction sites.
- Trailer-mounted Mobile Toilets: Similar to recreational vehicles, these are towed by vehicles to designated locations. They have a larger space and well-equipped internal facilities, making them suitable for long-duration outdoor projects or large-scale events, such as music festivals and sports events.
- Modular Mobile Toilets: These are designed with a modular approach, allowing for rapid on-site assembly and flexible adjustment of scale. They are suitable for scenarios requiring multiple toilet units or comprehensive service units, such as large exhibitions and post-disaster reconstruction.
- Eco-friendly Mobile Toilets: These adopt technologies such as biodegradation and physical separation to achieve on-site reduction or harmless treatment of waste, reducing the frequency of waste removal and aligning with green principles. They are suitable for scenic spots with high environmental requirements or long-term outdoor projects.
Layout Planning
- Considering Crowd Density: Increase the number of mobile toilets in areas with high pedestrian traffic, such as audience entrances, main venues, stands, and dining areas. For example, at least one toilet unit should be provided for every 500 spectators around the main venue; density can be appropriately reduced in rest areas and athlete corridors.
- Balancing Functionality and Convenience: Choose locations close to main thoroughfares but avoid placing them directly on key access points such as entrances and exits to prevent congestion. Also, consider the need for barrier-free facilities, reserving at least 1-2 barrier-free toilets at each event venue.
- Addressing Special Area Needs: Toilet facilities in spectator stands should consider the gender ratio, with a recommended ratio of 1:1.2. Special temporary toilets should be set up in athlete areas to ensure privacy and efficiency. Children's areas should be equipped with child-specific facilities, with heights and sizes suitable for children's usage habits.
- Linking with Event Flow: Set up temporary toilets near athlete warm-up areas and check-in points for easy access by athletes. Reserve toilets along audience exit routes to avoid congestion during mass departures.
Functional Design
- Basic Facilities: Include squat or sit toilets, sinks, mirrors, lighting, and ventilation openings to ensure user comfort.
- Deodorization System: Combine natural ventilation (louvers, ventilation ducts) with forced ventilation (small exhaust fans) or use physical and chemical methods such as activated carbon adsorption and ultraviolet photocatalysis for deodorization.
- Waste Treatment: Traditional storage tank-type toilets require regular waste removal; eco-friendly types adopt biodegradation and physical separation technologies to reduce waste removal frequency and environmental impact.
Technical Characteristics
- Structural Materials: The toilet boxes are usually made of high-strength, corrosion-resistant materials such as fiberglass, color-coated steel plates, or aluminum alloys, which are lightweight, strong, and easy to clean.
- Signage and Emergency Management: Equip with clear指示 (instructional) signs, using reflective or glow-in-the-dark materials to ensure visibility at night. Plan emergency access routes and backup toilet locations in advance to cope with sudden increases in pedestrian traffic.
