Huizhou Mobile Toilet Renovation
The renovation of mobile toilets in Huizhou is mainly reflected in two aspects: the 'tide toilets' in Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area and the upgrading and renovation of public toilets in the central area of Huicheng.

'Tide Toilets' in Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area: To address the long queues of women waiting to use the toilets during major holidays, Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area has introduced the innovative management approach of 'tide toilets'. The core idea is to flexibly allocate male and female toilet stalls, temporarily converting some male toilet areas into female ones when there is a high demand for female toilets. Previously, the signs at the entrance of these toilets could be manually slid to switch between male and female indicators, but due to management loopholes and safety hazards, these sliding signs have been removed and replaced with fixed slot-type signs. During peak periods, mobile partitions are used to divide the areas and the signs are changed to achieve functional switching. This model effectively alleviates the problem of women having difficulty finding toilets and improves the efficiency of toilet use. The 'tide toilet' model has been promoted in scenic areas across the country, and Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area has also stated that it will continue to add more toilet stalls in public toilets that meet renovation conditions in the future, while continuously optimizing the use model of existing tide toilets to better meet the needs of tourists.
Upgrading and Renovation of Public Toilets in the Central Area of Huicheng: The Huizhou City Appearance and Environmental Sanitation Affairs Center has carried out a comprehensive upgrading and renovation of 18 public toilets in the central area of Huicheng, addressing many issues with traditional public toilets from three aspects: appearance, facilities, and air purification. The renovation includes renovating the interior and exterior walls, replacing old equipment, adopting bidirectional fresh air machines and nano deodorization equipment, etc., enhancing the city's image and the happiness of citizens. The renovated public toilets are equipped with smart induction flushing devices and usage status indicator modules, enabling automated operation and facilitating citizens in quickly finding available toilet stalls. Currently, six public toilets have been renovated and put into use before National Day, and the remaining 12 will be completed by May next year, providing citizens with a more comfortable and convenient toilet environment.
