How to Soundproof Container Houses

Admin September 15, 2026

Container houses can achieve soundproofing through methods such as adding soundproofing and shock-absorbing sealing layers, covering soundproofing materials, optimizing structural design, and enhancing sealing performance.

Firstly, adding soundproofing and shock-absorbing sealing layers. High-quality container houses incorporate soundproofing and shock-absorbing sealing layers on walls and ceilings, effectively blocking external noise and meeting the needs for a quiet environment in homestays, teahouses, shops, etc.

Secondly, covering soundproofing materials. Cover the interior and exterior surfaces of the container with soundproofing materials such as acoustic panels, soundproofing blankets, and rock wool to form a soundproofing barrier. These materials have excellent sound absorption and soundproofing properties, significantly reducing the transmission and diffusion of noise. For example, filling acoustic soundproofing cotton inside the walls blocks the transmission path of sound.

Thirdly, optimizing structural design. By reasonably designing soundproofing structures, such as adding soundproofing cavities and installing soundproofing partitions, the conduction path of noise can be further blocked. For example, in ceiling structures, first apply glue to attach soundproofing blankets, then install light steel keels and fill with soundproofing cotton, and finally seal with gypsum board and ensure proper sealing of gaps to form a multi-layer soundproofing structure.

Additionally, enhancing sealing performance. Optimize the airtightness of the container to minimize the infiltration of air and sound. By optimizing the sealing structure and using high-performance sealing materials, such as sealing joints between panels and around doors and windows with sealant, ensure the isolation of the interior of the container from the external environment and prevent noise from escaping through gaps.

Finally, taking measures for specific noise sources. If there are specific noise sources inside the container house, such as generators and fans, measures such as adding noise reduction boxes and movable soundproofing barriers can be taken to reduce the impact of noise generated by equipment operation on the indoor environment.
