How to Rent a Mobile Toilet

Admin September 24, 2026

Renting a mobile toilet can be done following these steps, and you need to pay attention to the relevant costs and requirements:

1. Determine Your Needs Select an appropriate mobile toilet model based on the usage scenario (such as outdoor events, construction sites, exhibitions, etc.), the estimated number of users, and the duration of use. Common models include single- or multi-user types, standard or high-end smart types (with sewage treatment systems), with significant differences in capacity and functionality among different models. For example, a standard single unit is suitable for short-term, small-scale use, while a high-end smart type is ideal for long-term or high-traffic scenarios.

2. Choose a Rental Company Screen rental companies with complete qualifications, standardized services, and good reputations through internet searches, industry recommendations, or friend reviews. Focus on examining whether the company has environmental certifications, equipment maintenance capabilities, and emergency response mechanisms, and avoid choosing suppliers without qualifications or insufficient service capabilities.

3. Discuss Rental Details When contacting the rental company, clarify the following information:

  • Cost Breakdown: This includes rental fees (calculated by type and duration, with standard types ranging from 100-300 yuan per day and high-end types from 500-1000 yuan per day), transportation fees (300-800 yuan per trip for short distances, and charged by kilometer for long distances), cleaning and maintenance fees (50-150 yuan for regular cleaning), utilities fees (billed based on actual usage for independent systems), and a deposit (1000-5000 yuan, fully refundable upon return without damage).
  • Service Scope: Confirm whether the company provides delivery, installation, cleaning, and breakdown repair services.
  • Responsibility Allocation: Clarify the compensation standards for equipment damage, loss, or delayed return.

4. Sign the Contract and Pay the Fees The contract should detail the quantity, model, usage time, location, and payment method of the equipment (such as staged rental payments and deposit payment upon pickup). Carefully read the terms before signing, paying particular attention to clauses regarding damage compensation, cleaning responsibilities, and breach handling, and request additional explanations if necessary.

5. Receive and Use the Equipment When receiving the equipment at the agreed time and location, inspect its appearance and functionality for any issues and notify the rental company immediately if any problems are found. During use, follow the instructions, keep the toilet clean, regularly inspect the sewage system (if applicable) to prevent blockages or odors, and contact the rental company promptly for repairs if any breakdowns occur.

6. Return and Settle Accounts Return the equipment at the time and location specified in the contract, ensuring there is no damage or missing parts. The rental company will refund the deposit after inspection, and any damages or delays will require compensation or penalties as per the contract.

Notes

  • Environmental Requirements: Prioritize equipment that meets national environmental standards to avoid pollution during use.
  • Hygiene Compliance: Comply with local public health regulations, regularly clean and disinfect, especially strengthening management during pandemics or special periods.
  • Long-Term Rental Discounts: When renting for more than a week, negotiate with the rental company for a reduced daily rental rate.
